Some prediction

Post by Neri »

Some fellas prediction for the Lacy-Ried fight from eastside boxing:
While all of these questions will be answered definitively on August 6, it’s my duty to give a prediction. Here’s how I see this one playing out: Reid starts fast, unleashing a heavy body attack, while Lacy tries to fire back. The champion seems to be coming on in the fifth, until an accidental head butt opens a grotesque gash on his forehead. The ringside doctor calls a halt to the bout after the seventh round when the bloodshed becomes too severe and the fight goes to the scorecards prematurely. The winner by majority decision in an intense war, Reid goes back home to England finally the hero. Bet the underdog, thank the judges, and tell everyone where you heard this sage prediction.

Jesus wept.

When has Reid ever started fast in a fight?

Let's all do wacky predictions and see if any of them come true.

Ringiside tickets for Calzaghe's 'unification' with the winner of this bout, for the one who gets it right....

I predict Lacy jumps right in Robin's chest from the off, irritating him. Robin is marked up around the face (but hasn't budged). A big right hand has Lacy on queer street less than a minute into the sixth round. After a 20 count from the hometown ref, Reid jumps right into Lacy but is very ragged and cannot get his punches off properly. A resulting tussle see's both fighters tumble to the floor, injuring Lacy's shoulder and ending the fight.

And then for once it will be Calzaghe's opponent pulling out. Joe will go on how there is no injury, and that Lacy wants no part of him.
