Indeed, and we're all waiting for Oscar's follow up book with baited breath. I imagine he can get at least 2 chapters out of the coke fueled partying, paying off strippers, and his thoughts on this year's lingerie fashion lines.
"Only The Ring Was Square" by Teddy Brenner (former matchmaker at Madison Sq Garden.)
1940's-1950's boxing and how HIS thoughts on fixed fights of that times.
Published mid 1970's.
"Raging Bull II" by Jake LaMotta Sequel to famed original piece Raging Bull.Picking up from where his life left off. Interesting thoughts by LaMotta.
Alot of people dont know about this one, but it exists. Probably out of print like the one above, but some quick online searches should turn up a copy.

one of my all time favorite books on boxing is Jack Johnson's autobiography
IN THE RING AND OUT.
I avoided this book for many years because I had heard some critics say over the years
that it was greatly inaccurate.
(the book is even mocked in Ken Burns smarmy crummy PBS documentary)
Well IMOP except for some dates in it that would appear to be either typos
or the manuscript was rushed for publication before it was proof read.
(Jack Johnson declared bankrupcy in 1927)
Otherwise its a terrific book.
I just wished I had read in 1977 when it was reprinted
instead of waiting for the 1993 repriniting to get a copy.

Brian Hughes book on Tommy Hearns "The Hitman" is a fantastic read so can imagine many of his other books are. Definatley The Four Kings is a must and also Dark Trade
I really enjoyed Angelo Dundee's "My view from the corner" is fascinating as i like to here the old school stories etc
IMO 4 kings and Dark Trade are the best boxing books. Most autobiographies are boring and I have read a few however the Johnny Nelson and Frank Bruno ones are good for different reasons but books by Hatton, Benn, Eubanks, Calazghe, ODH, Holyfield etc are all much the same and you won't learn anything new. Mamas Boy which is about Lennox Lewis is a decent read and takes you inside the boxing business and training camps. Don King Only in America also is worth a look
Exactly what i was looking for!! Thanks a lot! :-)
