Interestingly, everyone that has commented on here and ESB who was at the fight didnt understand what all the fuss was about because there was no trouble at the whole event that involved any Fury fans.

However, those that were only privy to the goings on in the first three rows of one side of the ring seems to think that there was widespread rioting by "unpalatable" "pure scum" who just "dont know how to behave". When the reality is that there was a good atmosphere in the arena, no violence and only two over excited family members got too close to the ring apron after Fury was knocked down and they were ushered away by other family members when the round ended.

As for the ten bells issue, I was luckily close enough to the ring that I was aware that the ten bells were going to bell sounded, however, it was very noisy in the arena when the ten bells was dedicated and I would say that most simply didnt know it was happening or were streaming in from the bar.

There is a bit of balance to the Daily Mailesque knee jerk reaction of the Usual Suspects on here.

Yeah, no denying it happened slap, bang, whallop in front of the cameras views which is unfortunate for boxing, Fuy and Hennessy even though I am sure Messr Williams took delight in seeing it on TV. Hence me saying that people that saw it on TV thought that the place must have been mental but those in attendance could see it in the wider context of the crowd.

But I will say about that that it was just two lads that caused the kerfuffle, there was no slaps thrown and Fury family members ushered them away at the end of the round.

I am not saying that there isnt a rum bunch mixed in with the Fury fans or that there isnt the potential in future for there to be trouble but all I can say about the show on the weekend is that there wasnt any serious disorder from the Fury fans.

As for the ten bells, Its a shame there was noise. I was upstanding and silent but there was a lot of pissed people there that were noisey but unless you have been to the venue before you wouldnt know that the main and only entrance from the bar and toilets was beside the ring and people were streaming in from that area for the fight. If you could be arsed to listen back, which i aint, I think you would hear constant noise as opposed to people scream out in the silence.

For what it's worth, I got the impression people didn't realise the 10 bells was happening at first.

The ring announcer kind of gabbled it out without any sort of build up. I'm sure those up front realised what was happening but the ones further back probably missed it.

But if you watch, the noise dies down as the count goes on.

Sure, there's the odd nutter shouting and bawling all the way thru, but, fekk me, is it any worse than the sight we used to get a few years back of fat bald-headed english "fans" jeering during the overseas fighters national anthem? That became so bad and disgraceful the promoters had to stop the anthems altogether.

They dont just dish those out from that back of a Mr. Whippy van, well maybe the Commonwealth title is devalued these days but he has faced comparatively strong opposition for a heavyweight of his age and experience. He has a great heart and balls (things you cant train in), chin (only been down once and got back up), mobile for a man of 6'9'', albatross like wing span which I think is the widest of any current professional boxing, good power in his backhand and a real desire to succeed.

The negatives - footwork, balance, co-ordination, stance and guard, conditioning. He also reacts badly under pressure on the back foot and panics a little under fire. Many of those are related to each other and there is nothing there that cant be sorted out with better training techniques and training regimes. However, not matter how much work some of those faults my never be ironed out but I'm not sure how that makes him "shit".

Above all I think he has the bot of the X-factor and could be a crossover star which would be good for boxing.

I like this guy, nice bloke, good skills and when he's in shape I can see him being a force, at least going onto British level, probably European.

But ever since the McDermott fight you have done nothing but have a go at him in every post about him. Everything is ultra negative and disparaging. Where is the balance with you - there isnt any, and then you have the gall to point at others and accuse them of being biased and one sided. Fury is an overweight slob, his version of looking good is different to that of most other boxers. I'd be shocked if he ever turned up for a fight looking fit and ready physically, never mind the gym. That said, he's unbeaten and it will be a competitive fight until Chisora wins
