See my earlier comments regarding nepotism. Im done with ya. Take it or leave it sunshine theres some very valid points in there you would do well to take note of..

This post seems have sparked a bit of a debate!slapbangwhallop wrote:Interestingly, everyone that has commented on here and ESB who was at the fight didnt understand what all the fuss was about because there was no trouble at the whole event that involved any Fury fans.
However, those that were only privy to the goings on in the first three rows of one side of the ring seems to think that there was widespread rioting by "unpalatable" "pure scum" who just "dont know how to behave". When the reality is that there was a good atmosphere in the arena, no violence and only two over excited family members got too close to the ring apron after Fury was knocked down and they were ushered away by other family members when the round ended.
As for the ten bells issue, I was luckily close enough to the ring that I was aware that the ten bells were going to bell sounded, however, it was very noisy in the arena when the ten bells was dedicated and I would say that most simply didnt know it was happening or were streaming in from the bar.
There is a bit of balance to the Daily Mailesque knee jerk reaction of the Usual Suspects on here.
Yeah, no denying it happened slap, bang, whallop in front of the cameras views which is unfortunate for boxing, Fuy and Hennessy even though I am sure Messr Williams took delight in seeing it on TV. Hence me saying that people that saw it on TV thought that the place must have been mental but those in attendance could see it in the wider context of the crowd.grub wrote: This post seems have sparked a bit of a debate!
For what its worth, having watched on C5 and read most of what has been written on this forum about the fight; a number of posters who were there have commented on the general lack of 'hassle' in the crowd. However, the bit of disruption there was (even if by only a few family members) occurred slap bang infront of the main camera angle used in the broadcast. Whilst it certainly didn't look good on TV; its possible that things looked worse than they were.
Can't comment on the announcement etc of the 10-bell salute in the venue; however it came over on the broadcast as poorly observed, which was unfortunate.

They didn't know there was a 10-bell tribute?

Like I said, those there didnt seem to think there was much hassle, a view echoed by "British_Heavyweight" but those watching on TV did. I assume you watched on TV. But hey what to I know I am only making those opinions up because I am Irish!

I'll listen to the views of the other guys who were there.
And what is has got to do with nationality is beyond me - what is Fury? Irish/English? Who cares....he isn't very good and behaves like a yob. He's not my cup of tea, so sue me.

I've never said Fury is a world beater, he has massive flaws but also literally massive attributes. So you are just embarrassing yourself again. Try sticking to fact rather than melodrama.
"And what is has got to do with nationality is beyond me" - I didnt bring up nationality, its only clowns like you that bring it up when they have a shaky argument and feel the need to try and label to discredit the opinion of those that dont agree with you.
All I was doing was describing MY experience and observations of the events because I was at ringside and was puzzled by the reaction of those that had watched it on TV. I was not excusing anyone, I was highlighting what I saw and experienced. I have provided multiple links showing that others, who were also at the fight, unlike yourself, also felt the same because I knew my opinion wouldnt be enough for the High Priest of North Wales. I am sorry that upsets you. I can accept that those that watched it on TV thought it looked worse because they could only see the first three rows of one side of the ring but you seem incapable of acknowledging any other viewpoint or version of the events other than your own.
You have the deluded attitude of someone who feels an arrogant superiority, get off your high horse, you dont write for the Ring Martin!
Do you not think you are being massively harsh saying that "He is wank, end of". He is no Mike Tyson or Wladimir but is young and has plenty of time to work with what he has got and can get somewhere.Crazyboy wrote: Reading this has got me thinking......

i actually can't believe the good people of boxrec even rate this guy....jesus christ.

The positives - He is an unbeaten British and Commonwealth champion at the age of only 23! They dont just dish those out from that back of a Mr. Whippy van, well maybe the Commonwealth title is devalued these days but he has faced comparatively strong opposition for a heavyweight of his age and experience. He has a great heart and balls (things you cant train in), chin (only been down once and got back up), mobile for a man of 6'9'', albatross like wing span which I think is the widest of any current professional boxing, good power in his backhand and a real desire to succeed.
The negatives - footwork, balance, co-ordination, stance and guard, conditioning. He also reacts badly under pressure on the back foot and panics a little under fire. Many of those are related to each other and there is nothing there that cant be sorted out with better training techniques and training regimes. However, not matter how much work some of those faults my never be ironed out but I'm not sure how that makes him "shit".
Above all I think he has the bot of the X-factor and could be a crossover star which would be good for boxing.

There's no debate with you Len, it's just insults and patronising comments. Good luck to you, I'll leave you to the wolves
But ever since the McDermott fight you have done nothing but have a go at him in every post about him. Everything is ultra negative and disparaging. Where is the balance with you - there isnt any, and then you have the gall to point at others and accuse them of being biased and one sided. Maybe its because you keep getting it wrong about him and you think that if you keep slating him that when he does eventually lose you can be there with your threadbare "I told you so" t-shirt to cheerleader!Captain Hook wrote:I like this guy, nice bloke, good skills and when he's in shape I can see him being a force, at least going onto British level, probably European.
I think its you with the chip on your shoulder Mr. Williams!Captain Hook wrote:Fury is an overweight slob, his version of looking good is different to that of most other boxers. I'd be shocked if he ever turned up for a fight looking fit and ready physically, never mind the gym. That said, he's unbeaten and it will be a competitive fight until Chisora wins

Crazyboy, you folded a little too quickly under the weight of his flawless argument
Eh? Are you delirious or simply an utter idiot? I really havent made up my mind! First you say he has no talent then in your last post almost mirrors the positives and negative that I attributed to Fury? Which is it? I just think you think its funny to throw out a bitter barb and not really engage your brain!Captain Hook wrote:PS When he first came to our attention he seemed a decent guy, and still does in the odd interview......but he's become erratic, disengaged himself from those - like me - who were warming to him and tries to hoodwink fans that he's the real deal, when in fact he's got to be one of the luckiest heavies out there to be in the position he is.
I admire his tenacity, he has balls and likes a battle, but his skills are limited, he is shaky, is not a big puncher, has a terrible defence and the team behind him are deluded.
He has his good points, but they are outweighed by the bad for me. That's my opinion, you're entitled to yours too......but try and give it without the abuse.

PS You described yourself as a "journalist" - paid or unpaid? Just interested.

I said I was biased in my support, not my opinions. There is a difference. Maybe you can figure it out.
Like I to "J" show me some opinions to prove my bias, considering that you pair think its so obvious then please provide some evidence to back that opinion up - or shut the f*** up!
"Keyboard Hardman"? Once again, evidence!? It was you that started throwing mud on this thread. How did you think this was going to go when you posted that?
