are you still banging on ?

Your irish slant is easy to pick up as said run a poll Lenn see what the box rec community thinks, do you have an Irish bias in your posts its easy to do. Think of it as 360 degree appraisal you might be surprised by the results.

You constantly big up irish fighters, you over played Andy Lee to the point it nearly caused open warfare between you and Bennie and the likes...oh theres proof on here old bean, I just cant be arsed to lower myself to your level to dig it out.

Now please as they say in london DO ONE.

You didn't answer the question...
Are you try to turn this into a dick waving competition because you've been caught out talking shíte (as usual)? You got a MASSIVE ego, its hilarious, as are your opinions, I'm glad its been exposed.

What do you want me to say? I've never referred to myself as a journalist, hence the reason I put it in inverts. I'm a Chartered Surveyor, and I get paid for my boxing work as well, but thanks for the concern. Would my opinions be less valid if I didnt? I assume you've had training - and your work is still s***. Thats the biggest laugh.

Why dont you just accuse me of being biased again - that seems to work for you!

Cracking journo you turned out to be!

Er, nah. Divs like Bennie were saying Lee was a bottler and s***. I think his recent results prove who was right.

"I just cant be arsed to lower myself to your level to dig it out." convenient!

As we say here in Manchester - FAIL!

Chartered surveyor? Cool...

But if there's as many cracks in the properties as there are in your arguments you're in big trouble!

If I had a big ego I'd be bothered but I don't and I'm not

I think you've hit the nail on the head with regards to my concerns. I still don't think he punches correctly and why I'm a cynic regarding his potential is that I just haven't seen the improvements I hoped to see.
I agree he can address most of these issues with better training and conditioning, which begs the question of why he hasn't done so over the past couple of years?
I'd actually quite like to be proved wrong, but I think he lacks the focus and sheer bloody-mindedness to make the necessary sacrifices, whether that's in terms of nutrition or a dedicated training regime. Because of his natural assets he's banking on being able to get away with it and he will.. until he reaches a certain level.
He's got the raw potential to make it to the fringes of world-class, but I suspect he won't realise that potential due to the aforementioned mindset.

Ignoring the tit-for-tat that's gone on for most of today, I agree with aspects of that.

As one poster wrote a while back, boxers who start their careers overweight and lazy tend to end them overweight and lazy.

Most will see their stamina, skills and speed diminish over time, rather than starting slow/basic and getting quicker and more talented.

It's up to Fury how far he goes, mentally as well as physically, but there's little doubt it won't be world class.

I've made my views clear, good night boys and girls.....

There are a number of factors really. Firstly, we're living in a time where it's never been easier to make it to the fringes of world-class in the heavyweight division. We'd clearly be having a different conversation if he was in a stacked division like one of the lower weights, but the overall standard of the heavys is pretty appalling, so it's obviously easier to reach that level - to prove my point, I nearly wrote European level, but in this era, that is fringe world-class given the shift that's happened over the past decade and the utter absence of decent big men coming out of the States.
As for his attributes, his height and size are starting points. When he decides to use the jab properly he can actually throw it well (unlike his right-hand, which is still so, so sloppy). He's got decent hand-speed, can occasionally punch in bunches (which is rare among current heavies) and clearly has a fighting heart.
Finally, the key word I've used is potential - he's still got a long way to go to reach that level and my honest gut instinct is that I don't think he ever will. He's got the short-term mentality to tough it out in a fight, but he hasn't got the long-term mentality to tough it out through the required training regime.

given you plenty of evidence, the fact you dismiss it out of hand is your lack of ability to take constructive criticism.

And I think the poll should be worded by you for no excuses. Not me.

And its not childish, arent you interested to know whow the community sees your posts and one eyed vitriol?

Take that away and he is a brawler / street fighter type, grinning, smirking and trying to intimidate.

That wont get him to the top. Trust me. Bullies get found out.
I have started to agree with this type of a opinion to a degree, although i think he could be a little more than a brawler/street fighter ,I thought Fury would go farther than what i am starting to think he will ,this is down to him looking like hes not taking the job seriously ...needs a good trainer and the diet/conditioning sorting out ...if not i think hes found his level ...still recons he beat price at this stage in shootout :box:

I suspect he's now gone about as far as he can.

He doesn't seem to be improving and the skill set he is showing now is not gonna be enough when they step him up to the next level.

It's a pity, as the viewing figures suggest he had the x factor with the general public that 99% of boxers lack.

I am not having a pop at Tyson, but I just wish that he gets beaten soon. I think if he is defeated it would certainly make him look at where he is and change elements of his preperation and approach.

Fury is still a young HW, he has over 10 years of a career left, yes he was bloody dreadful in his last fight, his conditioning is very poor but I am hopeing that this aspects are corrected soon, a defeat may do that.
