How did he look Jane ?
He looked pretty ripped from the video. Interesting how he will look physically to the rest of the division.

Here's a direct link to what Enzo looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isfGqNx2I68&t=73
The height/size difference between Enzo and his opponent is HUGE! His opponent is definitely nowhere near the 5' 11.5" listed on Boxrec.

Woeful fight against a complete and utterly untested Eastern European (unbeaten in 12, all against complete local no names. Barely won a split decision against his last opponent who was 9-15-1) aged 34.
Enzo looks in good shape, just wish this blatant mismatch was semi decent. This is a poor, poor excuse for a 'fight'.

He's a poor opponent but Enzo really needs a confidence boost and it is his first fight in a new division. Hopefully the guy has a chin as Enzo could use some rounds. He hasn't won a fight that went past the 2nd in 4 years.

I know height differences can be overcome and don't always matter, but looking at the two of them at the face off just looks all wrong to me.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
This bill looks awful boxing news gave it 3 stars! What are they another woeful show on Friday from home of boxing!
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
He won't weigh as much. No chance. Enzo is clearly smaller than he was at cruiserweight. I could see him putting on more than 10 lbs over night, but not more than 20.Cardiff-Lad1 wrote:Intresting to think that Enzo will weigh the same come fight night at LHW as he did up at cruiser.
That could be intriguing.

Bit ridiculous, Enzo looks like he's taking on a middleweight - not a great advert for allegedly forthcoming "championship fights" - and why are boxing news giving this 3 stars ? Shame they're so worried about upsetting FWleforge wrote:This bill looks awful boxing news gave it 3 stars! What are they another woeful show on Friday from home of boxing!
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
Jesus, Enzo looks about a foot taller than the opponent. Surely he will make very easy work of this.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
its an interesting fight for enzo and gives him the opportunity to see how he 'feels' in the ring as it will be nothing like training and sparring etc.
chris byrdd is a good example of what can happen to a world champion cruiser/heavyweight when they drop down to LH and claim they feel good.
hopefully the likeable enzo will do well, enzo has always guaranteed excitement one way or another...so good luck big fella!!

This fight after last week poor bill and the Byrne V horta one before its quantity over quality!MightyWarrior wrote:Bit ridiculous, Enzo looks like he's taking on a middleweight - not a great advert for allegedly forthcoming "championship fights" - and why are boxing news giving this 3 stars ? Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
Beats me why people make fights which can't help but look bad. This guy might be really good for all we know, he could be a surprise package, but he's a bloody midget compared to Enzo and there's no way it won't look silly when they're in the ring — and that's what people will remember, sadly. Only way out of that situation is that matey puts up one hell of a fight.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
what a ridiculous height difference, looks like the opponent has just been pulled off the street
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
I hear if he wins this he is fighting Verne Troyer next
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
Absolutely ripped around the mid section. Looks like he's trained hard. I think that's the first time I've seen a enzo calzaghe fighter with stomach muscles
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
I think this is his opponent's last but one fight http://www.monokli.com/hazai/marosi-gyo ... yula-video
He looks fairly basic hard to say how durable he will be.

Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
He looks like Dennis Siever the UFC bloke. Record says unbeaten in 12, 8 by knockout, but not heard of any of them and he hasn't fought outside Hungary so that might not mean much. But looking at him, seems sturdy and don't see him getting blown out in one. More like take a beating for 3 rounds then the red steps in.
I bet Dean Powell was horrified when he saw him though. 'But you told me he was 5-11!'

Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
How many rounds is the fight? The 4/7 on an Enzo stoppage is surely buying money.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
give the little fella a break, tony oakey was a decent domestic LH at 5ft9.... and i think tyson was only 5ft11 in with the big boys. enzo is a freak at LH as he is heavy/cruiser height...... dave stewart was a freak at lightweight at nearly 6ft. its just how boxing goes.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
I actually think the guy looks pretty tough and anyone who is unbeaten even on bad opposition can be a danger. Give enzo a break, this is his first fight back in a new weight division, after a run of bad ko defeats. I actually worry about Enzo fighting again after his recent ko defeats. There are certain ko defeats which look career ending, and enzo has suffered at least 3 of them. While I admire his desire to come back and try again I cant help worrying that he is an accident waiting to happen, and moving down in weight at his age and possibly weakening himself in the process, could increase this danger. No noone will really know how the drop in weight has affected him until he is hit a decent shot in a real fight. This guy might look like a pushover for enzo but at this point in his career I dont think there will be any easy fights left.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
Dwight Braxton was only about 5 feet 7 and Dick Tiger was about 5 feet 8.... noone would dream to call either of them a patsy. Height isnt everything.rhino222 wrote:give the little fella a break, tony oakey was a decent domestic LH at 5ft9.... and i think tyson was only 5ft11 in with the big boys. enzo is a freak at LH as he is heavy/cruiser height...... dave stewart was a freak at lightweight at nearly 6ft. its just how boxing goes.
Enzo has a huge body for an opponent to aim for... ripped or not.
Re: Enxzo Mac interview after todays weigh in
Always the question with unknown Eastern European or African imports, will they fold in the 1st or turn out to be as tough as old boots?
