Plagiarising Boxrec
Blimey, just logged onto the QPRLSA (loyal supporters association) site and it looks EXACTLY like Boxrec. Have a look. What's that all about?

All phpBB forums have the stock off the shelf formats.
This pair just picked the same one.
At least it makes you feel at home on both!

Yup it's a common software and they have picked the same colours/theme as boxrec. The Dark Destroyer wrote:http://qprlsa.co.uk/forum/index.php
Must be the same software/web design?
If you scroll right down to the bottom of both sites it says they're powered by the same company.

Smile! You know you can!
Re: Plagiarising Boxrec
As people have said above, but in different words, the look of this forum is/was the default for the software that is being used ( http://www.phpbb.com/ ). Most sites re-skin/re-theme the forum, but Boxrec haven't, nor have the QPR LSA.Glyn Leach wrote:Blimey, just logged onto the QPRLSA (loyal supporters association) site and it looks EXACTLY like Boxrec. Given that there's no copyright on results it's surprising that nobody has ripped off Boxrec in other ways, if you get my drift?

thats site is utter garbage though , records typed incorrectly is the main issue , look on the weight divisions and scan through a few pages on any particular weight division and you will soon see what i mean , i spotted one that on the weight division page was listed something like won 19 , lost 1 , drawn 24 , naturally i looked at his fight record and where the fights were listed it said won 18 lost 13 drawn 0 , which matched up to his fight history , this type of thing is common on that site by the looks of it .J-C wrote:http://www.fightsrec.com/Wake up call wrote:Given that there's no copyright on results it's surprising that nobody has ripped off Boxrec in other ways, if you get my drift?

Indeed it is poo, but there's no doubt it qualifies as an attempted boxrec rip off.damianhucker1 wrote:thats site is utter garbage though , records typed incorrectly is the main issue , look on the weight divisions and scan through a few pages on any particular weight division and you will soon see what i mean , i spotted one that on the weight division page was listed something like won 19 , lost 1 , drawn 24 , naturally i looked at his fight record and where the fights were listed it said won 18 lost 13 drawn 0 , which matched up to his fight history , this type of thing is common on that site by the looks of it .J-C wrote:http://www.fightsrec.com/Wake up call wrote:Given that there's no copyright on results it's surprising that nobody has ripped off Boxrec in other ways, if you get my drift?
