Ovil McKenzie's last fight
I saw on his record that in his recent challenge to regain the Commonwealth Light Heavyweight title that he flattened Jeff Evans in just 15 seconds of the first round. Does this now make it the fastest victory in a title in a British ring and possibly all time anywhere in the world because I know that the quickest in a British ring Dave Charnley flattening Darkie Hughes to retain the British, European and Commonwealth Lightweight titles in just 40 seconds at the Nottingham Ice Rink back in 1961.
Re: Ovil McKenzie's last fight
Dunstan/Gurov was about 14 seconds, including the count.

Another quick finish was when Pernell Whittaker KO'd Ben Baiz with the first punch he threw in 37 seconds of the first round.

Im pretty sure Pele Reid beat Michael Murray in about nine seconds, although may be a a second out. But he landed a big lump of a right on Murray's shoulder, which dislocated, and that was that.
Whether I've got the timing right or not, it was definitely under ten seconds.

Nigel Benn defeated Ian Chantler in just 16 seconds in the first round of an 8 round contest on the 24th November 1987 and Podmore you are right correct in Pele Reid beating Michael Murray in just 9 seconds after Murray's shoulder was dislocated (ouch!!) in Feburary 1997 at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre as the chief support of Ryan Rhodes' first round blow out of Peter Waudby in his defence of British Light-Middleweight title.

Tuckett was decent too, amusingly they had him on 'big breakfast' the week after inside a giant paper bag which he had to fight his way out of
