Billy Dib spoiler

Post by Old bones Ian »

Now i know it doesn't involve a British boxer, but i just watch Dib beat Alberto Servidei in 1 round.
I can say that i've never seen a boxer so blatantly sit out a 10 count as Servidei did, he shouldn't get paid . I just don't get how this guy managed to get to 31 unbeaten fights and had won an EBU title.

Shocking wasn't it. Servidei was there for a paycheck and a holiday with a few minutes boxing in between. He actually looked worse than some of the Eastern European imports that are brought over to Britain and Ireland.

Fight starts at 07.56: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wii-uaZ8sfg

He won against spanish Sergio Blanco EBU feather title with a technical decision, when he was clearly losing the fight. This fighter has been protected by judges and italian promoters. Capeau to his manager for giving him the chance of fighting DIb for a World Title!!!He looks horrible, i think worst world title of the year!!

Good win for Dibb, would like to see him revenge his one loss against Lueveno next.

Dibb is awful and a protected fighter. Seen him 'loose' in Vegas only to be gifted the decision.

Did it strike anyone else as odd that the Aussie commentators didn't pick up on it?
Jim Watt would have bust his nuts in anticipation with how negative he could be about the whole debacle.
You've got to take the Aussie commentators with a pinch of salt, i recently watched the Michael Kirby v Colin Wilson heavyweight fight, and it wasn't pretty, but they went on as if it was Ali v Frazier.

So can Spencer deliver Dib to Choi? He said he was going to have a special announcement for Choi soon (I hope it wasn't the prizefighter thing?).

Don't get carried away with Choi beating Asiku. There is daylight between Dib and Asiku.

As for a fight Dib had in Las Vegas in 2007 Billy is a different fighter now.
