Jadgar Abdulla joins Maloney!

A while ago Danish featherweight Jadgar Abdulla (8-0-2) announced that he was free of his contract with former employer Team Palle and as of today ha has now solved his promotional problem. After a couple of days training in London, England, Abdulla made such a great impression on British manager Frank Maloney that Maloney decided to take the Dane under his wings. A three-year contract has now been signed and Abdulla is likely to have his first fight under Maloney's guidance already in September. The Danish feather joins the likes of WBO 126lb champ Scott Harrison and British heavy king Matt Skelton in Maloney's stable - however, Abdulla will keep training with old mentor Brian Mathiasen in Denmark.

Abdualla is a good technician but lacks power. And since Palle is really short of money they made the agreement that Abdulla could get out of their contract.
Flyweight Steffen Nørskov also resigned as Palle boxer. He will now concentrat on his civil career.

Undefeated Danish featherweight Jadgar Abdulla (8-0-2) broke with former employer Team Palle ealier in the summer, when the parties decided to go their separate ways. After a four-day training stint in London recently, Abdulla made such a good impression that he has now signed a three year contract with world-famous manager Frank Maloney, the same man who took non other than Lennox Lewis to the title as undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.
"I didn't feel that Team Palle was doing the right things for me, and moving me along in the right way, which also clearly showed in the way they matched me. In my pro debut they put me in with a guy who was 14-1, and in my fifth, sixth and seventh bouts they matched me with former world title challengers with much more experience than me. This hinted to me that in reality they didn't want what was best for me, and just wanted to move me ahead quickly, make or break" says Abdulla, and adds ho happy he is that he can now start a new chapter in his career:
"Mogens Palle was recently quoted in a Danish newspaper saying that I didn't have a bright future in boxing, and that I had made no improvements. This just showed me that my decision was right, and now I am looking forward to working with a manager who believes in me, and it will be very exiting for me to box in England".
Abdulla will still be trained by his Danish coach Brian Mathiasen in Aarhus, but will also travel to England to train with his new stablemates. Among those are WBO world featherweight champion Scott Harrison and British heavyweight king Matt Skelton. The first fight for Abdulla with Maloney will, if everything goes according to plans, be in September. Maloney works closely with Europe's premier promoter allegedly, so its likely that the Danish prospect will be featured on some of Sports Networks top-class shows in the future.
