The whole situation involving Toney and drugs is utterly ridiculous. I can't even recall now if he's actually been cleared now.

If he has, then he should be WBA champion. He should be reinstated immediately.

If he hasn't, then why is he still allowed to box? Ok, If he did take something, he's probably not the only one, but surely the boxing world would want an all out ban on him for a year or two, to give the impression it won't be tolerated.

At the moment it's creating the impression, "well, you can't do drugs for a world title fight, but doing them on the way to getting a shot (no pun) is ok."

A complete inconsistent farce, and another reason for cleaning up all this alphabet shite.

He's done his suspension and paid his fine so why not lethim fight the WBA title now that he did the punishment?

Toney to win anyway.

His suspension was shorter then the between fights time for a very active heavy. Ridiculous.

And the fine was what he usually spends on one weakend. Ridiculous again.

As much as I like Toney, he shoud have been banned for 2 years.

It is ridiculous I admit though, it just typifies how pathetic the world of boxing is, look at what happened to Dwain Chambers recently, he's basically lost the prime years of his career due to the what is it, four year ban?

Four years is a bit harsh, but sprint is especially prone to drugs use.

And as it is the most followed competition in athletics, the whole atletics and olympics is hurt if one guy tests positive for a banned substance.
So the four years ban is outright and good for sports.

And Toney can fight for other belts right now...

Strange fight for Toney to take, Guinn is not a bad fighter and it might have been better for Toney to just be a little bit patient and wait for the WBC/WBO title situation to clear up.

He could have the Brewester vs Kransiqi winner in January.

Why doesn't he fight Byrd now - he is available.

It makes no sense for Toney to fight Guinn (Who has lost any semblance of credit he ever had). If Toney wins people will say Guinn was shit so its a no-win fight

Maybe proper punishment for doing steroids would be... you have to eat McDonald's meals 3 times a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, for one full month ( 30 days ).

This is a dangerous fight for Toney to take.

This could be Guinn`s last chance and this could make him dangerous.

With Toney being caught out last time he won`t be taking any chances now so maybe he will be less than his previous enhanced self

How he got over his last injury in record time says it all when it comes to accidental contamination

I would expect him to come in a little lighter than last time, but flabbier.

A close fight I`d expect to go the distance.
