true but live fights will only make up a portion of the channel, I imagine there'll be other content to fill the gaps.. Classic fights? magazine and news shows? etc?

for a ten spot a month it's worth a punt I reckon, just to have _a_ channel to switch to and you know you'll get something related to your favourite sport. plus when they come around you'll get the live cards and some of the big US shows to boot.

well that's £500k a month, if my gcse maths grade 'C' isn't failing me? And that's before ad-revenue, gates, etc. I'd wager F-dubz won't be splashing out anywhere near that kind of figure on his shows, although to be fair I've no idea how much the goldenboy agreement etc costs. should be a tidy profit though really?

I wonder what kind of revenue his PPV shows did in a typical year,before he started this subs model.

I would like to see Bunce's show change its format. It worked so well on Setanta for me (and its an entirely individual viewpoint) for 2 reasons.

1 - It had Andy Kerr who could control proceeding a bit.

2 - It was part of a sports channel that I subscribed to for its boxing content - with BN its supposed to be all about the action and less talk. With Setanta it covered all sport, so even when the talked boxing it felt like a bonus - it feels like "filler" now (I don't mean it to sound disrespectful).

I would like to see the Bunce boxing our transformed into like a your on skysports segment with phone calls from fans etc about the fights.

Oh for sure, but in their position every subscription will count so this will be viewed as a very positive development - also for the hardcores on here who have complained about not getting to see it

ill committ to 6 months on the basis i can pay it a tenner a month

if i need to pay 60 or 50 up front i wont be doing it as Xmas budget is tight

Hopefully we'll get some more info in the coming days buddy, for example it says £10 a month but it doesn't say how the subscription works ie is it a rolling monthly contract or it is pay upfront for say 6 months?

Smacks of PPV by a different route. 4-5 big shows a year at £120 is comparable to 4-5 ppvs a year at £15 a pop.

OK, big decision for me then. I'm on Virgin, do I succumb on December 1st? I'm still very undecided.
Sky have got a great boxing line up in December and for my Sky subscription I also get to see rugby league, rugby union, speedway, wrestling, tennis etc, do I want to shell out another tenner per month to see only a fraction of what boxing talent is out there??

What its likely to happen is that people will subscribe for a month when there is a tasty fight coming up and then cancel...if that's allowed? If it is, it's effectively pay per view isn't it?!

allegedly becomes a subscription-only service on the 1st of December. This date is the same for both Sky and Virgin Media customers, and subscription will cost just £10 a month.

Also noticed Warren promoting Degale EBU defence thats bound to be in February after his walkover fight in December. The Dec 9th bill looks like 90:10 matches.

What is the potential impact of the winding up petition served on FWP on the allegedly schedule?

If FWP ceases to exist, then surely the boxers currently contracted will be free to negotiate a move which could mean moving to a non-BN promoter?

I find all this a tad childish. Ian McNeilly's problem should be HIS problem and he using his platform as a weapon to vent his petty frustrations which are so biased he should work for the North Koreans. The fact is the people on this forum are supposed to be boxing fans so the very fact that will you or wont you subscribe is even being discussed is almost laughable. Surely the topic it is - will you ADMIT to subscribing or not ADMIT to subscribing - as if you are a boxing fan then surely you want to actually watch Boxing, don't you? The fans on here moan constantly about certain matches not being made and the marquee fights passing them by, but without revenue, from subscriptions, advertising, PPV sales or whatever then this will only get worse as fighters wont fight for nothing, why should they?

The fact is if you want the best fights to happen then what TV needs is your support, the people who turn on to watch it. Simple fact is without it the sport will become marginalised even further and and will eventually die.

McNeilly is supposed to be championing our sport via this website, which is a good website in the main, but his agenda is tiresome and if he were the bigger man he would sort his problems out with the people he has them with directly and not spout his self-opiniated bile to everyone else.

Buncey has forgotten more than McNeilly will ever know so to even compare the two is laughable.

Regardless of who is behind Allegedly Channel it is a Breath of fresh air and is dedicated to the Boxing fan and their money , via subsciptions, will be reinvested into the best content for the fans not reinvested into other programming and sports. You might want to think about that!
