b) The finances were good enough an incentive for Larry to accept it (although after the deadline)
c) A contract is on the table for Larry to fight Ali on March 10th
d) Ali accepted a big International fight abroad over 12 rounds against a top 50 world rated boxer but Robert Smith said he could not take part until he had done a 12 rounder.

Am allowed to have my view alot of what you said his about the future not now what you see on paper he is heavliy protacted when he does fight somebody of actually talent and win i will take back what i say. But on this forum i an fed up of boxer being bigged up when they dont actually deserve it and like i say alot of what u say are if's or but's when things are confirmed you actually have a agruemeant.

Ali is being hyped up to have improved, willing to fight X, Y and Z and will show it when the time comes. But at this moment in time, the fact remains he was manhandled by Skelton and meekly surrendered, was chinned by Radcliffe Green and looked lucky to get a four-round draw with former Midland Area 12at champion Tyrone Wright.

I'm not trying to put him down but, from what I've seen, he lacks in strength and has reached his level. Just saying.

Am good mates with tyrone and he said to me he should of won and like you say tom he is a blown up super middle. I have met ali and he is a nice guy but the fact is he as not done anything to deserve the hype and i think theres better heavyweight prospects out there that dont get the hype they deserve.

My main impression of watching 3 or 4 of Ali's fights is that he's a good sized HW in decent condition but his work rate is awful. Unfortunately it sounds like he's going to be in with a Latvian this time. Would be good to see Ali v Larry down the line.

On a different note, it's nice to see his promoter on here defending the guy in a fair and articulate manner. Interesting to get an insight on what was going on behind the scenes in terms of the contract negotiations.

Funny I saw Ali as an amateur putting it on John MCDermott in sparring..... But it just goes to show you sparring ain't fighting. Pros often work on things in sparring, rather than try to 'win' the spar. Also sparring lacks the intensity and pressure if fighting. Ali adams's attitude seems wrong and he will go nowhere

Thank you for your comments. Goodwin Promotions offer an open invitation to Larry, Tom Dallas, Sam Sexton for the 10th March 2011. There is no more we can do than offer the fight and offer decent money.

Is it not the promoters job to hype up his fighter? Find it interesting how we should hype some fighters but not others :s It's all part of the sport and its what makes it so interesting no??

My point is only hype someone when they actually deserve it

Yes but my point is, what criteria are you using to decipher between who deserves hyping and who doesn't. Steve and Olivia Goodwin obviously feel they have a fighter with talent who can do big things, surely if there Ali's promoters then that's their job, to promote him to the general public??

ya i get where ur coming from but what fight as he been in to deserve getting that kind of hype also not done anything at aba level. The thing is am not even talking about him fighting for titles just a decent domestic boxer over 6 rounds and if he wins theres fights then ya big him up.

I would say the Goodwins do a good job promoting their fighters. Did the same with Yassine El Maachi. They PROMOTE! In reply to the main question the Ali Adams who fought Skelton is going nowhere. Let's see if he has improved. He will need to but under Don Charles it is perfectly feasible.

Agreed. I hope Ali wins on 3rd December and then goes onto bigger and better things and fights for a bigger title on 10th March on GP's next show.

Yassine will hopefully be back then as well!!
