It's great to see a fighter so active aswell. This was his fourth fight this year and he had five last year. He is visibly improving with every performance aswell. Kermit needs to hang up the gloves, he was looking for a way out again last night.

Im not convinced by him yet, he reminds of kel brook alot style wise. Why not put him in with a puncher with some movement and speed instead of welterweights who hit him easily but cant hurt him.

Cintron looked old in there last night, his snap has gone out of the right hands, and he just couldn't cope with the attacks of Alvarez. He did well to last as long as he did after getting knocked down in the 4th and looking like he'd injured his leg.

I can't help but think he'll be done after he faces a genuine fighter who isn't smaller, older or done. Matthew Hatton was never a Light Middleweight, Rhodes, as much as we love him, was probably getting the fight 18 months too late, Gomez was too small (the guy should be at 140) and Cintron...well how did Cintron even get his shot?

It's not like 154 is even empty of talent so Welterweights are needed, we have Molina, Lara, Konecny and Javier Maciel (who was very impressive last night and has already given Pirog nightmares) as 4 guys who are very good and deserve a chance to make an impact. When Canelo starts fighting true Light Middleweights who are in their prime I'll start calling hima superstar, something just makes me think he's being given the Chavez treatment but getting away with it as he's a few years younger and doesn't have the famous dad.

Alvarez is a formidable lad, he out works and out powers his opponents. Cintron did well to make it through to the fifth, he looked badly hurt on the bell and showed some heart to carry on and have a go.

I love Alvarez he has that composed spiteful look in his eyes. Will he be a great? Prob not, but he will be in some good fights and do well

He's very measured and patient, which is impressive for someone his age (although after 39 fights he's a little more experienced than his age suggests). He's very accurate as well. Hard to say weather he'll go on to be great, I guess we'll need to ask that question at the end of his career. I don't think we've seen him against a fast fighter/mover yet though.

Cintron just looked like he was happy to be there, he didn't start throwing until he was close to getting ko'd. We won't see what Alvarez is really capable of until he comes up against someone who doesn't show him too much respect.

I think it's refreshing to see a fighting champion. I suspect that he'll slow down as he gets a bit older and gets embroiled in tougher fights but I take my hat off to him for being so active.

He's an exceptional talent who will go on to be top 5 pound for pound for a long time in my view. He's nowhere near ready for Mayweather or any of the truly elite fighters yet. They should make the match with Chavez Jnr asap. I think Alvarez would slaughter him. There is no rush and while I can see the reason they are looking at Floyd (obviously the payday), this kid will make muti-millions in any event.

cintron was hoping to go the full 12 and made it obvious that he wouldnt be trying to KO alvarez by throwing arm punches. alvarez wasnt having any of that and made sure every punch he threw had maximum power. cintron was soon looking for a way out
