Monzon would win a very tough decision. Probably something like 9 rounds to 6.

Amazing.

When I posted this last night, I felt Monzon would win 9-6 in a very tough fight, but
I was guessing most would figure it would be a more decisive Monzon win.

Seems like we all see it the same way.

Tiger was a phenomenal fighter, and in his prime would give nearly as good as he would get vs Carlos. He had a very rugged constitution, and he would need it.

Definite 15 rounder unless Tiger goes for broke and lets everything he’s got go, in which case he gets stopped. But I don’t think that would happen.

9-6 is about right.

I think Tiger would have more chance against Hagler and Hopkins.

dick tiger was a great fighter but not a great deal better than rodigo valdez, who fought a good fight with Monzon. i believe Carlos could have beaten any middleweight including sugar

Valdez and Tiger would be a very evenly matched fight.

It would be a great fight. But the great Carlos Monzon's height and reach advantages would be enough for him to win against the great Dick Tiger.
