Still I think Hennessey likes unbeaten fighters on Fury's record - I really think Fury doesn't care who he fights, just seems to want to fight often, very refreshing. He's certainly won me over. I can honestly say I look forward to his fights more than almost anyother boxer, he's got something about him, still raw but exciting.
World Level what are you on!
Have you seen the world heavyweight scene at the moment?
But he been shit in his last two fights. Nowhere near it even though how poor it is.

He got caught a few times, he'll knock Towers easy. He's certainly a level above Chisora and he's fighting for the european belt.

Do you think Towers would beat Fury?

If he can punch hard he have good chance Fury getting sparked sometime soon. Fury needs a break from fighting and get proper trainer and some sparring if he goes in Celeb bb before a fight its an accident waiting to happen!

This fight is real guys and trust me Richard is coming to fight! He is awesomely fit and strong and his boxing has improved dramatically to the point where he has had very impressive spars v Fury, Chisora and McDermott. Richard is so hungry for this - he knows he's a big underdog but trust me, he could pull this off in style - if his right hand connects clean with Fury it will be Lights Out!

I admire your enthusiasum but this is a step too far for ritchard perhaps he should try a step up to ali adams. . Danny hughs. Or even a decent match with paul butlin so far he has only faught very low level journeymen a few decent spars doesnt put him at british title level i know he is getting on a bit and needs to step up but for me this is a step to far for him at this stage that said i have met him and have watched him spar mcdermott and he is a good guy to talk to with an obvious love of the game. I wish him the best for this fight

If Fury were to turn up in the same lackadaisical state as he did for Pajkic, who knows.

Can't see it though, I don't think Towers is anywhere near ready for Fury. A decent tussle in sparring doesn't help in deep water and Tyson's got a proven engine.

I could see Towers being competitive early, possibly doing damage, but Fury's not the sort of fighter you'd want to drop off against, and that's where experience comes in, I don't think Towers has enough to keep Fury at bay in the second half.

I don't doubt the fight's on the table though, at 32, Towers doesn't have time to hang about.

Purse bids being called does not in itself mean a fight IS happening.

A good match up on paper. Fury needs more challenging fights after his last couple of poor displays, as entertaining as they were. Maybe a step too soon for Towers but I think even a defeat would learn him more than knocking out another European journeyman. His age is also a factor, a case of it's got to be sooner rather than later.

Plus, the TV coverage, fighting on channel 5 would give Towers more exposure than 10 Friday Fight Night appearances put together.

On the outcome, I think it depends which Tyson Fury turns up, he's got personal problems at the moment and I don't think he's going to be training 100% focused. Towers looks a decent puncher and Fury's chin is just waiting to land him in trouble. Hope it happens.

I've said it before, I think it's a misconception that Fury has a bad chin. IMO it's more his defence that's the problem. If they don't sort it out it may have the same end result against a decent puncher, but at least it's possible to remedy it.

I agree. I think Fury has an excellent chin but if he keeps allowing Heavweights to hit it with big overhand rights he will keep going over.

I don't like the fact that Fury keeps swapping trainers, i can't think of one boxer who has made it to the top like this.

I'd like to see him get with Billy Nelson, who seems to be at the top of his game at the moment. But would Billy be willing to only work with him for 1 fight?

Let's hope Hennessey consults his own matchmaker, John Ingle.

Agreed please keep us posted as to what the EBU and BBBof C reply with I think we all know fury doesn't want to fight price from his interveiws saying there is nothing in it for him what fury needs to know is that that is the one we all want to see obviously price has to be mcdermott first

Well, Mr Maloney is obviously the expert on this stuff as i believe he won EBU promoter of the year a little while ago BUT surely the issue here is that Price was contracted to a fight at the time this was offered to Towers?

The way this belt works, of course, is that fights are offered to boxers on examination of the rankings and all those who are contracted to a match are discounted ie Chisora (Helenius), Sexton (Big Larry) and Price (McDermott).

That's how they've come to Richard and obviously it's a fight that seems to appeal to all parties including TV! :TU:
