Foreman VS Multiple Opponents

Post by BoxBuzz »

Anyone remember this exhibition in the 70's? I think I saw it live on some major network ABC maybe?

I can't find a record of it. Anyone remember the participants or any of the details? was it 3, 4, or 5 opponents? Didnt each guy get about 3 rounds apiece? Some stood their ground pretty well as I recall.

Appreciation to anyone with a memory of this chiming in. Has there ever been any other event like this?

It was five opponents and I have it on disc. I uploaded it onto Dutch Windmills ftp thingy.
It was fornicating funnt watching the first time anyway, two or three of the opponents and their cornermen resumed fightig with Foreman after the end of the fights. Foreman spent a lot of time comically miming Ali (who was co-commentating with Howard Cosell, constantly taking the piss out of Foreman and I think predicted every single one of the five would score the upset) dancing around the ring. I think one guy lasted the three or Four rounds (whichever it was, can't remember)

I would love a copy of that disk! Or if you can direct me to a place I could view that event I would appreciate it. What were the fighters names?

..the "fights" in question took place in Toronto onm April 26, 1975 and were telecast nationally that afternoon.

this is for anybody who cares...but especially for buzzyboy..as he asked me in a private message and my reply..make that plural..keeps getting bounced as "failure to deliver mail." i have no idea why...but then i have no idea why people care if aspargus makes their urine smell either.

I started a thread on this subject a few years ago.

It also features a classic bout between Sweat Scientist and Terap.

Thanks that was a nice read, appreciate it.

I saw it in real time on TV and I now have watched this thing a few more times. You have to be impressed with those heavy hands of Foreman.
Pretty well dominated all five even when he was huffin and puffin toward the end. His Kangaroo jump was a bit much. I suppose he was trying to move like Ali too bad that didnt work for him. Still all in all pretty impressive. They werent all stiffs.
