lightweight has seen many top fighters go over the weight- castillo, corrales, guzman, nate campbell, etc. it really is strange why this keeps happening at 135.

What's going on ?! Rios weighs over 135, just weighed in today @ 146 - welterweight - and it's still for the title ? Bizzare.

That's going to really take it out of him - assuming he actually tried to make the weight. It looked like he had, judging how gaunt he looked.

Reminds me of Honeyghan / Curry - the massive favorite, against better judgement, stays for one more fight at a weight he can barely make. Curry had to make 147 though, unlike Rios getting a pass here.

If John keeps out of trouble early, avoiding those massive winging shots from Rios, he's got a chance here. In a battle of attrition, Murray is one tough bastard.

with rios' weight like this, you never know what's going to happen. far too big and strong? flat at the weight and vulnerable?

aggressive fighters who go for it have done well in world title challenges this year - macklin, and martin murray both against felix sturm.
But Rios is the type of fighter you don't want to slug it out with. Against Sturm that is exactly what you want to do.

The fight's not far off now, I've tried in vain to convince myself that Murray's in with a shout here, but I just can't see past Rios pasting him, and badly.

I really hope I'm wrong, and that it's at the very least a good fight.
