Vic always fancied himself as a mini Foreman. Well, he's met his Jimmy Young (again)

yeah he was schooled....How about the main event. Don't ya love it when someone thinks they won when they were so obviously beaten. Both fights were terrific but one sided I think

considering vic should have been the winner vs mares, i don't think vic has any reason to be concerned about his form tbh.

did he lose today, yes. did he fight very poorly, yes. but he is still one of the most dangerous in the division. one disappointing performance doesn't mean its time to panic imo.

we r yet to see moreno's full potential i don't believe, so its no disgrace to lose to him.

Free TV, did it hurt the concept? and obviously the Armenian flag that Vic's team were sporting in the ring certainly must have confused quite a lot of Australians, who no doubt would have tuned in to support Vic....maybe a 1 off thing perhaps. Vic got schooled bad, it was bad enough for me to turn away from a fight and stop watching......it was horribly boring and any casual fan would have started looking for the remote.

I hope Seven 2 or One really continue with the concept of televising Australians in world title fights, if you dont continue with Vic, heres a list of fighters that you might want to consider.

Keep in mind that Geale has a deal with Main event now and will again be fighting in Tasmaina late Febuary and defending his title.

So heres a list of fighters that wouldn't let the concept down.
Dib,Tomlinson,Katsidis,Bika and there is a few coming through like Pitt,Forsyth,Fletcher,Fleming,Brunker and McCulloch all would be very valuable additions to the idea.

Agreed Dawg.

Geez Hearns- your eprsonal antagonism and smart arse attitude lends me to the belief that you are in fact god and the best foghter that the world has ever seen .......NOT. get over yourself. Some tools on CS have been saying Vic has a glass jaw blah blah blah. I just dont understand those that pay NO HEED to the warrior spirit. Your nicely velied swipe at Green is just pathetic. Please tell me when you are next getting in the ring. Hmmmm all those dudes Vic has farked up, all those titles, all that really weak opposition he has faced in the last few years. Pffft. He got beat. So the fornicate what!!! Did he hide in a corner , did he wave a white flag, did he piss his pants and cry. NUT!!!!! Typical boxrec flamer. If ya dont have something objective or worthwhile posting then FARK off. And if you think your penis grows a little bit everytime you post one of your holier than thou, my turd smells like blueberry jam posts then just dont. Hero boy. :shame: :shame: :shame:

If for nothing else, Vic Darchinian's effort in winning all three of the major super flyweight belts should put him in the Hall of Fame. If he is slowing down with age he still has nothing to apologise for.

vic should have been awarded the winner vs mares. and mares wins the tournament. vic is going along very nicely. it was vics losing the plot that helped moreno look good too imo.

Settle down J, it's a forum where opinions are expressed. I think Vic got beat by a very experienced skilled defensive boxer. Vic's mindset seemed to be...."ALL I HAVE TO DO IS LAND ONE AND IT'S ALL OVER ROVER." It reminded me of the way Danny approached his bout with Mundine. Now you may have seen the fight differently but i thought Vic's effort was pretty poor. If some tools on the CS reckon Vic has a glass jaw then i suggest you take it up with them not me. No where have i doubted Vic's heart, warrior spirit or his remarkable record so i don't understand the " pissed his pants, white flag, hide in a corner'' comments you made.
Maybe you wanted an objective post saying how fit Vic looked while chasing and throwing haymakers that never looked like landing all night. Mate be a little less sensitive when someone posts something that you dont agree with, It's not that hard, i have to do it most of the time. :) :)

Now that was a reasoned response I was not expecting!! Not sensitive mate. Just figure if you had seen so many fights as commented then you probably would have seen a bigger schooling than Mundine vs Green(although that was what it was and regardless of weight issues, terrible tactics etc he won clearly). Perhaps read too much into it- for that i will apologise.
And no doubt i do agree that Vics last fight was a case of him assuming he would bowl him over...sadly that only works when you connect. Something that didnt happen too much(dread to see the punch stats). :TU:
