I think Khan should rematch Peterson. Regardless of what happens next, I would still favor Khan over Brook.

Peterson is a much better fighter than Brook.

Let's see when Brook finally fights a world class, in his prime fighter. As it is he is totally undeserving of a world title fight.

Peterson is world class, Brook has not proven himself to be anywhere near as good as Peterson is yet.

Khan fought a guy he called I'n simple words "the crappest world champion right now" and then fought him kotelink..! We all know whoever kell fights it's gonna be a tough fight simple when he fights for a world title..

It doesn't matter if Khan said that; Kotelnik was never close to being the worst world champion.

Khan has also fought Maidana, Judah and Peterson and tried to get Bradley in the ring... who else should've have been fighting at 140 to prove to you he will fight anyone out there?

It's easy saying you want to fight Bradley and give him peanuts.. Just like Peterson didn't take the fight last year why because he stands for something when someone offers you peanuts.. He accepted when he got the best deal he deserved and it's a business not just a sport these guys that fight khan that are on the same level need to calculate a damage a loss could do on top of that fighting for PEANUTS.. I'm not saying khan won't fight any1 course he will As long as it makes sense and if he can box them on the cheap..

You are saying he wont go near Kell Brook, but I am pointing out he is fighting everyone he can get in the ring at 140... Same question: Who should he have fought at 140 to prove he is willing to fight anyone?

Bradley wasnt going to fight him given all the legal disputes, switching of promotion company and having his eye on a huge payday... Peterson was a mandatory for one alphabet belt that Khan had, it would've been easy to avoid him, so one more time and I'll break it down easy for you. Khan fights at 140lb, name some 140lb fighters Khan should've fought instead of the guys he has been fighting. Just to clarify I'm looking for names not subjective opinions on contracts or mandatories... just names.

Kell's too strong for him IMO.

Slightly over hyped is our Mr Brook.................

Good fighter for the level he has been fighting at, but who really stands out opposition wise ? He is not even a world champion, hasn't fought any world class opponent in their prime yet, so why do you think he beats Khan ? I would say that as they are right now, Khan would beat Brook comfortably. Kell Brook is improving but i think he will be one of those fighters like Ryan Rhodes that can operate at world level and be competative, but come up short against really top opposition. He may get a mickey mouse alphabet soup title but nothing more.

Brook still has not done enough to get a fight with Khan. Despite the defeat, Khan is still proven world class now and Brook still need to step up. Besides which, Khan is staying exactly where he is for the moment as not being the champ will affect his chances of moving up and he is not the number 1 light welter anymore.

I can't understand how Khan is avoiding a fighter who's not fought anyone close to world level. His next opponent is another that no-one's heard of. The OP rubbishes Matthew Hatton, but at least he's been in with a good world champion at a weight above his own and was competitive at times. Kell's done nothing of the sort yet.

Don't get me wrong, Kell appears to have skills at the level he's fought at, but whether he has the skills to beat anyone elite has not be proven yet. Khan has business to sort at 140. when Kell has won a belt at 147 he will bring something to the table, then he should go after Khan.

A fully focused Amir Khan would box Kell Brook's head off all night, no doubt.

In saying that though, I still think Kell's got a great future in front of him. He's got to mention Khan, it's the big money fight for him and also, I'd think it's a great motivation for him.

Can Kell perform at the same level Khan has? Would Kell beat Maidanna? Could certainly give it a good shot right now but does that make Brook world class? Only time will tell.

I like Kell but he has wasted his formulative years fighting guys who taught him nothing. Still the case today. Jennings was giving him a decent argument until the cut and....and that is about it.

His level of opposition, in the main, is pretty dire. He has talent but he has not proved anything and time is passing him by. He has good speed and can punch, so far, at a lower level, but Khan would bamboozle him completely.

Why would you say that?

Khan is not a coward & he relishes a challenge.

His more to 147 might be delayed due to him losing to Peterson, but I believe he'll jump ASAP & go after the best that Britain & the world has to offere.

Whether he can beat them is up fo debate, but I'm certain he wouldn't duck a challenge.

Your talking rubbish mate, how can a world champion in a unification fight be offered peanuts don't be silly it would have been at worst a 60-40 split and britain the purses are less, thats why A ericans don't like coming to britain.

Remember Mayweather and Moseley ? Moseley acussed Mayweather of ducking him, yet at first Mayweather questioned if Moseley brought anything to the table considering he had about 5 loses at the time and Mayweather reminded people that he in fact challenged moseley when Moseley was the champ and Mayweather the young challenger, guess what he was turned down by moseley all them years ago, because he had nothing to bring to the table at the time, the same thing with Khan and Brook, you watch Khan come knocking if Brook wins a world title, I wonder what Brook will say then ?

I don't think you know what was offered.
The money that was on offer before McCloskey accepted was nowhere near 40-60.

He didn't when they sparred together.

Plenty of doubt on that statement.

Do you ? How much was offered then ? Do you know ? What I meant was that 2 champions, a unification fight, usually they would agree a 50/50 or 60/40 split if one of them is the main draw, that's including pay per view. If it had been in britain then the money would not have been much, never mind percentages. Let me ask you a question then who has Bradlet fought since for so called BIG MONEY ? I rest my case.
