Hottest unsigned talent on these shores

Post by damianhucker1 »

Whilst talking at a gym tonight in nottingham i realised how few boxers are actually signed to a promotor .

I already knew beforehand but maybe not to such an extent .

Obviously theyve in the main got managers to look after their interests , but what do people think are the main reasons for promotors not signing many fighters , can they not provide enough fights ? is money tight in todays economic climate ??? or is it something completely different ?

and of those insigned fighters , who are the top fighters / prospects ?

I realise some of this might actually require inside knowledge but all views are appreciated .

I'd also throw in Leigh Wood, Tony Doherty and Dale Evans names in here.

Wayne Adeniyi isn't signed up to a major promoter. He had a very solid amateur career and looked brilliant on his pro debut. His style is a great watch too, a lot like Roy Jones Jr style-wise. If he does go under the radar then I can see him really shocking a lot of people when he gets his chance.

Trust me jimmy Kelly is very special in fact id say he could win a British after 3 or 4 warm up fights!!! So talented and dedicated and one of the meanest punchers I've ever seen. Plus to top that all off he is one of the nicest kids I've ever met. Then again I'm not signed and I'm the best lol!!!

It shows that Carl has done well, it's damn difficult for promoters without TV, your bro deserves credit too.
John Ashton always did well for Carl too.

Theophane is with the Hattons.
They lost the purse bid for last weekend's fight to Maloney.
