Audley V Fury Petition!!

Post by Finn »

Someone just started this petition on facebook (not me).

Love or hate Audley but we all know this is a great fight for boxing and will bring in massive viewing figures if on channel 5.

Click like on the facebook petition and even go one step further and help spread the word.

Help one mans dream become a reality (mine lol)

Id certainly be keen to see the fight , i believe Audley can win it too , would be a close fight i think , but only bad thing is if Audley won then he would start going on about how hes going to become a world champion .

They will definately know how to talk up the fight thats for sure

I'd actually pay not to see Audley fight again.

This could be an excellent fight if Audley is in the mood (he really is an excellent fighter when he is)

If he isn't in the mood, I could well be one of the most shambolic "fights" ever seen in a British ring.

Audley wins either way.

Audley would knock Fury out, hence why Fury doesn't want it. Price, ditto.

I don't think I want to go through listening to Audley hyping a fight again. If he does box again, I hope he does a Bugner and takes his circus act to Australia.

I think this would be a cracking fight on normal tv and would generate some serious revenues for channel 5 which might encourage promoters & tv channels to stop hiding behind paywalls.

I don't think Audley would be able to be boring against Fury, a good match up in styles

I'd look forward to this for the build-up rather than the fight itself.

I don't know why Fury wouldn't take it. Let's be honest - and I'm speaking as a Harrison fan - Fury would be a big favourite to win. There would be massive interest in it and if it turns out to be a poor fight, he won't cop any of the blame. If he wins - and he very likely would - he's got a big name on his record and made a lot of people happy. It certainly makes more sense than Nevin Pajkic and co.

This.

Can't believe people have forgiven Fraudley after his non-showing in the Haye fight.

What if he (Fury) were to lose. Is the stigma of losing to Audley terminal?
It would show Fury's level but it wouldn't necessarily stigmatise him. Danny Williams and Sprott continued to be supported after defeats to Harrison.

Devil's advocate. I'd like the fight to happen.
I dont think Fury has a chance against Harrison, even on his worst days he could handle Fury blindfold.

No win fight for Tyson, this.

Which is why i dont think it will happen.

Fully I'd imagine.

I'd expect Fury to beat Harrison, but it would be a stinker.

Channel 5 are probably doing well because most of his fights have been more shootout than technical boxing match, until Mick builds up his stable the deal is probably reliant on Tyson being in entertaining fights, win or lose.

Harrison could put a glass eye to sleep.
Part of me wants the fight to happen. Part of me thinks Audley could scupper boxing on terrestrial television, for a second time, by upsetting the apple cart. How reliant on Fury's continued success is the C5 experiment?

Harrison has piled on the weight since he finished the strictly dance show, his desire for boxing is long gone in my opinion

His desire for the sport comes and goes and always has done. It's one of the reasons that the top trainers didn't want to touch him.

I've no doubt that when he does come back he'll be well under 260 and looking very good. Doesn't mean he's in condition, though. People mistake aesthetics for conditioning in boxing all the time.

I'd love to see it, and I'm confident it will happen in 2012, I couldn't pick a winner if you paid me.

Agreed. Some people have exceptionally short memories.
