NO FLINTOFF SHOULD NOT BE CAPTAIN HE HAS ENOUGH TO DO AS IT IS. REMEMBER WHAT IT ID TO BOTHAM WE CANT AFFORD THAT RIGHT NOW.

fair enough in that last hour vaughan got a bit "edgy" excuse the pun but who didnt, i thought his captaincy on the previous days was impeccable, his rotation of the bowlers, setting of traps to capture the aussie batsmen on saturday was top notch. Thjis aside form turning to flintoff and harmison on the last morning when it woudl have been tempting to keep giles on.

You also forget that the game should have been over long before it was, at least one LBW was plumb and jones should have taken that catch on the Boundary, these instances arent Vaughans fault.

I dont think you can criticise vaughan so much for the last hour, and forget the previous 3 days of excellent captaincy. And this aside from his motivational aspect, this team is playing for one another, takes a leader of men to do that, like Johnson like Vaughan, tresoco does not fall into that category. Handy left tennant but never a captain. WE WOULD NOT HAVE WON THAT TEST IF VAUGHAN WAS NOT CAPTAIN.

the worst captaincy blunder was made by ponting before a ball was bowled...................... so ive lost my main strike bowler, so warne is my best weapon, so i'll bowl first so they dont have to bat second on a flatish pitch that will get lower and take more turn.

amazing decision. and one that cost them the game.

When he's on song he plays spinners well so this could be his chance to build a bit of confidence with the bat. He's going to have to do it soon, good captain or not he cant be in the side scoring jack shit every time we just cant afford to carry players. Tough to criticise him after winning the test like that but he's not worth a place in the side on merit other than being skipper at the moment.

That is a bit risky. Having said that, the Aussie medical team are superb their guys are never out as long as first expected.

(For some reason I really wanna see this picture, will PM you my address!)
