Mayorga-Hamed pound for pound theoretical

Post by BoxBuzz »

Forget about the weight difference for a moment. For our purposes, Let's just trasform them into the same weight division. Who's not going to buy this fight? Who thinks this fight is boring?

Also on a pound for pound basis who wins? Too much theoretical here?

Just seemed like genuine entertainment to me.

Based on statistics and wins, Hamed. But I just don't see him as a greater fighter. He's just really a creation of great management and timing. He beat aging champs, and one champ that was supposed to be done taught him a boxing lesson which ultimately retired him. As for Mayorga, he's fought anyone who'll fight him. He's wild, a risk, and until recently was a low reward. However, he's beat the man who beat the man. So i'd have to place Mayorga above for his willingness to fight the best even if it means losing... something Hamed never did.
