Someone wants to be taken serious and then says Brook over rated McDermott under rated.
I give up.
Can you please read my post properly i said he is underrated i have not said he is any world beater....So dont comment unless you have a good reaseon.

The reason i say he is overated is because his best oppenent is ndou who lets face it was past his best...so saying that he isnt desreving of a world title shot
In an ideal world, maybe. But this is boxing in 2011, where there are often 3 WBA "world" title holders in a single weight division. By today's standards he'll soon be known as the Sheffield Sam Langford.
Yes i know but he has not done anything to get one but that is boxing today and i expect him to exposed when he goes up in level but if i am wrong i will admit it

So Brook needs to prove he's at World level by fighting someone at world level, but he doesn't deserve to fight someone at world level until he's proven himself at world level?

Joseph Heller would be proud.

The Ring magazine rate him no.6 in a division that includes Floyd and Pacman. With 4 world belts is it unreasonable for him to have a world title shot ?

Rob McCracken was amazed at Kell after watching him spar his fighters. Howard Rainey posts on here and seems a big fan. These are experienced trainers who have trained world champions.

You say that Kell is the most over-rated fighter. Is it possible that you are under-rating him?

You're fighting a losing battle mate. Best off just saying nowt until Ezekiel fights a really top level fighter. Then either he gets beat and this chap and his ilk were right all along...or he wins and the opponent was shite to begin with.

He's rated on his competition alone for me and not his potential. You could be the most skilled fighter on the planet but you need to prove it against someone who is there to win and has the talent to actually test you. As mentioned above the likes of Kamegai, Solomon or Clottey would be great. In fact Clottey would be perfect.

:TU:
I would say Nigel Wright because he doesn't lose to bad fighters.

I think Brook should fight one or two higher ranked opponents, possibly go for the EBU title because his opponents he has faced in recent times doesn't really warrant him a shot at a World title.

Ndou and Jackiewicz are good wins and he dominated both. The division's very top heavy, you've got the top 2 obviously, then Ortiz and Berto, and there's not an awful lot between them and Brook. Mike Jones I suppose, Aydin, Senchenko and those sort of guys. But Brook has earnt a shot at a belt in my opinion.
