Michele Piccirillo odds

Post by Old bones Ian »

centrebet are giving odds of 7/2 for Michele Piccirillo to beat Mayorga,
anyone think these odds are good?

I see a good chance of Piccirillo pulling off the win here, he's not the biggest puncher, but is a busy well schooled boxer with a good chin, if he gets through the first 3 rounds, then i can see him outboxing Mayorga.

You can get 4 to 1 at bet 365.

I put a tenner - Piccirillo has a better chance than those odds. Also think Monte Barrett is worth a shot.

Yeah you do wonder about Mayorga's commitment these days - as usual, he sounds like he thinks he just has to turn up to win.
But no doubt he still hits as hard as ever, and I see the Italian hit the canvas in his last fight....

I think Barrett is a good bet too - he's on a roll, can box well and Rahman isn't exactly the most consistent of fighters.

Barrett could well be the hungrier fighter and is accustomed to underdog jobs.

Rahman is erratic.

Name me his best wins and I'll name you twice as many defeats.

I expect Mayorga and Rahman to win conclusively here.

Got my money on Mayorga :TU:

Possibly a bit of contraversy to set up Mayorga v Vargas by any chance?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Piccirillo beats Mayorga, Spinks set the blueprint on how to beat Mayorga and i can see a well schooled Piccirillo exploiting Mayorga's weaknesses. However Mayorga could just as well catch him napping early and blast him out, it is an interesting contest.

I would certainly be a layer at 7/2.
