Jesus, Trescothick just fished outside his off stump facing McGrath, luckily it went for four. Why the fornicate does he keep doing that? That is a major flaw in his game.
Well done Vaughan. He's ridden his luck a bit but fair play he needed runs and he's got a century. Lets hope he can go on and make it a big one.
We should get a decent score here as long as there's no collapse. But with Pietersen and Freddie to come you know there's plenty of runs left in this innings.
:x I deny ever saying anything about your fielding :x
Excellent days play by your guys, you may just win the series yet, something I thought would never happen (not this series anyway, with McGrath and Warne still there)
Still need 100 to avoid the follow on, and instead of 5 down, you may as well make that 6 as Clarke doesn't look like he's gonna bat.... at least not like he normally can.
Would you guys enforce the follow on if its available, or get back out and put the run chase beyond them?
Don't follow on. It Give's the bowlers a rest also. Mainly becuase I don't trust the batting line up in chasing even a small total. A couple down early and crazy things start to happen. Shame they didn't get to 500, Aus would have been really chasing the game then. I wanna see 6'8 Tremlett in the nxt match in place of Hoggard. Hoggard struggles if it doesn't swing. With Tremlett playing the Aussie's will be playing every ball at their throat and getting bashed and bruised up. If Tremlett turns out good then England will have a fearsome attack. Opposition's would fear for their health.
I think its fair to say England would have won this game easily if it hadnt rained most of the day on saturday. I thought Vaughan was overcautious yesterday and the declaration came too late in the day. They could still get 10 wickets today but didnt really leave enough time to have a good go at them last night and get the 1 or 2 wickets required to make today easier. Fingers crossed!!
Crisis time i think, Gillespie, Hayden, Martyn all have to go. I think it is time that Tait, Hussy,Symonds all get a go, The batting from Australia has been below par and there is to much arrogance in the team.
Gillespie should definitely go, I cant believe they have stuck with him for this series to be honest he was so out of form in the one dayers. I think he'll definitely be out after this test as Ponting has hardly given him the ball. From an England perspective I hope they stick with him! ;)
We could have done with at least 1 more wicket before lunch.... 121/2 is pretty touch and go.... the aussies only need 4.2 an over from here on to actually win it, although I can't see that. Still..... gonna need a massive afternoon session to turn the game back into our favour.
