Some great news here from one of the hottest stables around.
JAMIE MOORE - Matchroom and Sky have given Jamie the date of the 23rd September to top the bill again on one of there shows. The venue is to be announced shortly and hopefully it will be in Manchester. The fight is a cracker as Jamie puts his British Title belt on the line against David Walker ,who like Jamie comes to fight - do not blink when this one starts.
JOHN MURRAY - It has been an unbelievable few days for team Murray as they flew to the USA to fight on the undercard to the Jeff Lacey v Robin Reid world title fight. Invited onto the top table at the final press conference was the first treat as John was announced as the wonder kid from Manchester and the heir apparent to Manchester native Ricky Hatton. He was then chose to be the first live fight of the night and beamed to 13 different countries world wide above his joint 4 support acts that had a combined record of 68-0 (50KOs). 13 seemed to have been a lucky number for John as he went to 13 - 0 with a mature boxing display that took apart seasoned pro Johnny Walker and impressed the 15,000 yank fans who were soon cheering John on to a 60 -52 victory.
John met all the stars including Winky Wright,Zab Judah,the contenders and you will get to see the pictures at the end of this week on his website http://www.john-murray.co.uk .He came across so well to the American public that Showtime have already insisted that we take him back again shortly,watch this site for details shortly.
AMERICO SANTOS - Not a VIP fighter but shared the changing room with John Murray and must say that he puches as hard as I have seen on the pads and takes it in the ring as well. Now at 22-0 (18KOs) and rated 21 by the WBC is one to watch,seemed a bit reckless in the action but one to watch for the future - my tip for the top.
