BJJ/MMA Guys, some good closed guard drills...

Post by EddieShredder »

I know there's only a few of us, but this video is pretty good for some solid closed guard drills and techniques to practice :TU:

I would push anyone to follow Jason's youtube channel if you only want to follow one for technique. Others are great in bits but he's so complete in his drills. Phenomonal to think he was only a blue 5 years ago.

Here's a good closed guard from ym instructor 8) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRrZvyThaQw

Here's a bad impression of my instructor. The butt-scoot makes me sad :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5c3U-P4hIU

We should add to this thread for cool vids on technique, bro. :yay:

Good stuff Poncington... just work on that grip breaking and maybe get your hips out a bit and work off some angles more in guard. Not that i'm an expert by any means...

Victor did a big section on grip breaking, arm drags and shifting the hips to create more offensive angles in that seminar I went to last week. It was superb.

You going to go to the Terry seminar?

Terra, or Terere.... isn't the Walsall one Ciao Terra - hence I'm right up for it.

Some of us can train with Terere 5 days a week if we so choose  :geek: #smugcunt

I use www.forinside.com to rip these to my phone, then can drill properly at training without having to use my broken memory...
