I think its a fair enough schedule, especially when you think a couple of years ago a couple of these shows would of been pay per view at £15 a night but like camcas said when you pay monthly for something you wanna see what you're getting rather than lots of TBA's.

You can add Povetkin v Huck, plus DeGale and Groves will be out in that time, probably on the same show in London.

I imagine they will show the Chavez fight, plus Kirkland and whatever else is on in the US.

Degale and Groves depends on other factors. Not guaranteed all US fights. Still dont think it going to add many to it 10000 subcribers. Povetkin v Huck another poor heavyweight fight.

Look like a bunch of one-sided fights to me.

The only one that appeals is Mckenzie vs Dodson, both honest and very game fighters.

The rest are gimme's.

I imagine they got more subscribers of the back of the 12 days of Christmas offer than they did for the actual schedule (as it stands at the moment).

Predictable schedule. They will not put on quality fights until May/June when the 6month subscriptions come to an end, smart move.

It will be about keeping hold of those who already have, if people havent subscribed by now I doubt they will start subscribing in their droves in 6months time. Boxing is a niche, keep hold of what uve got and go from there. The only fights that will get people signing up are Groves/Degale rematch and a possible Haye return.

Then I dont think we have much good UK fights then if the subcribers do not improve.

But will they keep hold of what they have? If you have the channel on a six month (paid) trial, it's not doing that well so far.

I think there are several good fights about, just not mainstream or big enough to get people to subscribe to the channel.

I think there are only 2 types of people who will ever subscribe to this channel;

die hard boxing fans who are mad enough to get this channel so that it can help fulfill they're need for as much boxing footage as possible and

moderate boxing fans who used to be happy to buy ppv because they got swept along with the hype of it being a big fight.

I think when they thought of the idea they knew that this is what it would attract and if it gets even half the subscribers than an average ppv got then they knew they would still make money from it because it cuts out the middle man. I have no doubt that this channel will succesful but whether it will be seen as a success is a different matter.

People have to remember that they haven't put it up a an internet channel yet which is bound to get more subscribbers (me included)

No casual fans is going to sign up for six months here lies the problem. Also not all the diehards are going to sign up due distruss of the promotor and reluctance to pay for it. The average sky fight is watched by around 100k viewers which will include casuals fans I think if they get a 1/3 of that they will have done very well. I think they are wanting more than that though.

I don't think anyone should be asked to pay for the fights that you've currently listed as being 'scheduled' by allegedly.

The only real World title fight is Klitschko V Chisora, which how ever you see the fight going(Vitali beating Del Boy up for 8 rounds or so), I'm sure will be free to view on a German Channel or via German stream, all perfectly legal.

If you want to pay £10 a month for the rest of the cards, the choice is yours. I won't be subscribing but I won't miss much either way.

But it's £10 a month. Three months content is not just £10. It is 3*£10 or £10+£10+£10. Whichever way you cut it, the content for January through to the end of March is £30. Although, one could technically sign up on 13th January, on the day of the first broadcast of the year and just two months subscription would take you through to the Ricky Burns fight in March.

Sky viewers are forced to commit to 6 months, so that's not £10, £20 or £30, but either £50 or £60 depending on whether the offer is still running.

Hearing Burns is having a soft opponent as well. The schedule is not going to add many subscribers imo.

The only fights that may interest the casual fans are

Chisora v Vitali
Cleverly v TBA
Burns v TBA

Vitali is a massive odds-on favourite and I doubt TBA will be holding a world-title any time soon, so it doesn't look good in terms of attracting many more subs.

Obviously "proper fans" would be delighted with this.
