Valdez's legend has grown larger than his actual abilities . . he was a decent fighter but not even among the top 2-3 HWs of the early-mid 50s who Marciano never fought . .Baker, Henry and Summerlin IMO were better than Valdez.Bobby A. wrote:How would bouts between Valdes and Marciano and Patterson have played out?

I do think that a Valdez Paterson fight would be a pretty good fight.
Obviously Rocky would be favoured to beat him, and i think he would, but he does pose a few challenges for Rocky to meet. Definitely not bad fights, these ones.
