n't deserve that ranking. Burns should be ahead of Khan aswell

Is Ajose British ?
I know that's a little pedantic, but I'd be unsure about his inclusion.
I wouldnt know whether to have him in or not - we might as well slot Proska in too, he lived here for years.

I think Bellew should be in the teens at min.
Otherwise nice list

I don't agree.stujones wrote:I think an objective list would surely have to have Murray above Macklin now, given Murray drew with Sturm and Macklin lost to Sturm (officially).
I don't consider Burns to be on the same level as Khan or Froch, but it can be argued that he is.stujones wrote:Top 3 must be very close now. Burns with a solid win, Khan with a tad controvesial loss and Froch with a lopsided loss albeit against the #1 fighter in the devision. I think a case could be made for any one of the 3 being #1.
Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
He was a former British champion - I aint sure though if this is still the case as he is now living in the states I believe.G0mez wrote:Is Ajose British ?

If eligable, then I would like to see him a little higher. Chabah is a decent boxer, good at European level - Ajose handled him with ease.
Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
Getting dominated by Wladimir doesn't make him a bad fighter. Those below him haven't been setting the world alight, so I think having him as low as 14th would be far too low.dutchie wrote:Haye at 4,your having a laugh,he was embarrassing last time out--should be 14!!!
But who should be higher? Magee, McDonnell, Mitchell, Lee, Brook etc?dutchie wrote:Macklin too high!!!

Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
Martin Murray should be higher ! Considering macklin is sixth , Murray did better than 7 or 8 British fighters , and is still unbeaten
Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
Martin Murray drew against Sturm, Macklin lost. Against their major common opponent - Murray did better.Horse wrote:Murray's best win is against who?stujones wrote:On being ranked as low as 20 on your list.Horse wrote:Come on, he isn't way too high. Macklin's great win is against?

Lee and Brook should be ahead of him,lee beat Vera,McEwan and Gibbs all better boxers than anyone Macklin beat!!!
Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
Olusegun is a former British champion, so I consider him to be British enough to be in the rankings.G0mez wrote:Is Ajose British ?

I don't know if Proksa is allowed to fight for the British title, so I don't consider him to be eligible for a place in the rankings.

Magee, Lee, McDonnell, Brook, Mitchell, Afolabi, Murray, Chisora, MunroeHorse wrote:Getting dominated by Wladimir doesn't make him a bad fighter. Bellew did well against Cleverly but he lost and he was not very impressive in his two fights with McKenzie before that.JDC wrote:I think Bellew should be in the teens at min.

29th position does seem too low though, hopefully he will fight again soon so I can lift him up the rankings.
Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
The win against Chebah was good, but Olusegun had only had one decent win in the two years before that, which was his win against Colin Lynes in April 2010.stujones wrote:He was a former British champion - I aint sure though if this is still the case as he is now living in the states I believe.

I think Macklin and Murray both did about as well as each other against Sturm, so I don't really think Murray did do better.stujones wrote:Martin Murray drew against Sturm, Macklin lost. Against their major common opponent - Murray did better.Horse wrote:Murray's best win is against who?

Macklin's best wins are better than Murray's, does anyone disagree with that?
Re: British Top 30 P4P January 2012
Macklin has beaten Asikainen who was ranked in the Ring magazine top 10 at the time, which is easily better than the Gibbs win and very arguably better than the Vera or McEwan wins, especially considering the nature of Macklin's win and Lee's major Struggle with McEwan.dutchie wrote:Lee and Brook should be ahead of him,lee beat Vera,McEwan and Gibbs all better boxers than anyone Macklin beat!!!Horse wrote:But who should be higher? I don't see it that way. I think Macklin's controversial loss to Sturm is enough to keep him above those fighters for now.Camcas wrote:Magee, Lee, McDonnell, Brook, Mitchell, Afolabi, Murray, Chisora, Munroe
