What's Your Dumbell Benchpress PR ?

My healthclub moved and I haven't pumped iron in months. Just joined a new club and they've got dumbells up to 150 lbs. Yesterday I did 4 sets of dumbell benchpress and my last set was the 80's X 7. Now I'm feeling motivated again and want to break my old record, which was 105 x 3 back in the 90's. My old healthclub for some crazy reason got rid of there heavy dumbells, so I've had no access to the big stuff for over a decade. I think I've got a good shot at being back up to 105 for a rep or 2 by the end of this month.

I train at home, and have dumbells up to 40KG. I can do aprrox 9 reps with these, althogh I usually do my presses with a barbell.

150lbs is impressive!!!

105 is impressive mate, how much do you weigh?

I weighed around 200 when I did that back in the mid 90's. Yesterday I got the 95's for 5 reps. That's lbs not kgs. Only doing a little light barbell work at the end for high reps. I've been focusing on the dumbells first, on my chest days, and hope to do so, for the next several weeks. I want to see just how high I can get, and this gym has dumbells going up in 5 lb increments all the way to 150. I'm not even dreaming about 150's though.

At the gym im training at atm, the heaviest dumbells are 40kgs, i do them for 10 - 12 reps for incline. decline and flat.

I got the 100's for 2 reps yesterday, but my rapid upward progress is slowing down now, and I don't think I'll be attempting the 105's in my next workout. I'll need to work on getting higher reps at 95 instead.
