Agreed

Guerrero has done ZERO to warrant a shot at the self proclaimed P4P 1. It's bad enough he's only ever fought as at Lightweight but who has he ever beaten in the ring for them to justify this fight, a past his best Kasidas FFS who was never that great to begin with.

Absolutely disgusting fight if Mayweather fights him and this time the PPV's will reflect it as i can't see this doing more then 700k.

Guerrero is a class fighter, I love watching him box. Only problem with him facing Floyd is the weight difference.

I think the only fight people would be interested in other than a Pacquaio fight would be Cotto at 154lbs. It's getting to the stage where Mayweather wants to fight Ortiz level fighters unless the big fight with Pacquaio happens and fight fans will become tired of these fights and switch off.

Mayweather has just called out Pacquiao on his Facebook account (if in fact it is him - although judging by the mobile phone photo uploads I am assuming it is).

It looks like it might happen if bob arum wants it too, the fights not as big as it once was, pacman winning last time out in controversial fashion has taken the edge of things. Mayweather wins easy now and would be a big favourite, I always believed he would win but 1 year ago the bookies would of had it a lot closer.

This fight and therefore the enduring reputations of both will not hit the heights it would have done two years ago when it should have been made.

They will both be in their mid-thirties, divisions above optimum weight in Pacman's case coming of a mediocre performance too.

The highest arc of this fight was missed. Still a terrific fight which Mayweather wins with one arm but one wonders....once done....who fills the void.

Canelo? Ward?

Whilst not at the "highest arc" they are both still undoubtedly p4p the best fighters on the planet, and both are comfortable Welterweights as appose to two years ago when you could argue manny was still growing into the weight. An intriguing fight. I heavile favour mayweather, but its one of those. Much like I thought Man City would steam roll man utd on the weekend, sometimes things just dont go to plan.

As for the void - hard to see isnt it, just as it always is when a generation comes to an end. Where does Ward go in 2012 as Froch fights Bute twice (April and August home and away). Who else is there at SMW to enhance his reputation? he could move up to LHW, Dawson, Hopkins, pascal, Cloud? On his last performance none would fancy the task, and does he bring big bucks to the table?

Canelo looks good, some cracking fights to be made with him at LMW. Barnburners. Cotto / Margarito for a start.

I'd ponder whether Ward can get lower than 168 too.

Kessler rematch for Ward?
