It was generally conceded on here that Foster would have had too much power for Calzaghe and Moorer would have been a 50/50 fight.
How would Calzaghe go against Michael Spinks at light heavy
Joe Calzaghe v Michael Spinks @ Light Heavy

Badly.
Can't see it going past 8. Spinks is too big, too powerful.

I strongly favor Joe over Moorer and give him a good shot against Foster. But this is a different animal. Too much length and strength from Spinks. The way to try and beat Michael would be to smother him on the inside, he was great at mid-range and that was Joe's wheelhouse too. Dominant decision for the jinx.

Spinks was just so good at everything and seemed to pack Foster-style scary power at light heavy. Michael wins via a brutal Spinks Jinx.

yep i see it the same way as the others

Is Spinks really bigger? Weigh in changes means they are probably similar.
I don't think Calzaghe has enough power to trouble Spinks and I can imagine Spinks, who was a clever fighter, possibly letting Calzaghe have his way whilst he sets up the KO shot.
Calzaghe could win it but I think Spinks has just a little bit more.

Weight would be similar but Michael was a good bit taller and I'd assume he would have a solid advantage in reach. That is significant when you look at the styles. I never saw Calzaghe as much of a drainer at 68.Ezzard wrote:Is Spinks really bigger? Weigh in changes means they are probably similar.

Spinks knew how to use his advantages too.
Re: Joe Calzaghe v Michael Spinks @ Light Heavy
Spinks wins conclusively... Calzaghe's best weight was Super Middle and he should be rated there.
The Light Heavyweight version of Calzaghe that we seen would havge little chance against Michael Spinks...
