Eric, would none of the TV channels be interested in buying the lot from you?ERIC GUY wrote:As most people will know, I have the largest private fight tape library in Europe, I have started to transfer the shows to DVD, when I started filming in 1987, they was Mickie Duff shows, then Barry Hearns, so if people are interested in buying them, I will be making a list in the next few weeks,
these shows contain the fights of, gary mason, rod douglas, jim mcdonnell, micky hughes, dave dent, gary jacobs, dave dent, derek angol, darren dyer, kirkland laing, etc, I started filming in 1987, and still film today, but its the older footage that people would be intersted in, as it the whole show, not edited,, some rare unseen fights, Eubanks, benn, naz wil follow,

He and his brother are notorious in Southampton. Into everything, and I mean everything. Famous things to have happened include Yardies coming down and holding guns to their wives heads. Something happening with Steve or Paul and they run to a jewelers in broad daylight and rob them so they get sent down, then going on the run for a few years!MachoMan09 wrote:Steve McCarthy, that's a blast from the past. Grade 'A' nutcase. Do you know what became of him after he stopped boxing, Eric? I've never heard anything of him since.
I think the police at a code word when one or both of them were up to no good.
Owned pubs, mobile phone shops, cafes, taxi firms etc. One of them has bought a football club and was in the headlines for ejecting a spectator for using foul and abusive language!
Colorful characters.

Did you buy the fights Ian? Always kicked myself for not getting the DVD but the fights were at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth so there was no way I was taking more than a fiver their. Christ knows what the frenzy would have been like had I pulled a tenner out or god forbid a twenty. Then again I may have been ok with a twenty wouldn't have thought too many people in Portsmouth at seen one of them.Old bones Ian wrote:yeah it was definatly Steve Holdsworth that did the show I had a quick chat with him there.Dirk Kelly wrote:Have you got a copy?
