That press conference with Antonio Tarver when Tarver banged the table and got up and Clinton told him "you wanna learn some manners pal" is still one of my favourites . I wish i could find it on youtube. Classy boxer too with some real talent. Took on the very best a match with Froch would have been really entertaining

Clinton boxed from 11 0r 12 for Hillsborough boys and was a very tall,thin kid for his weight, a very technical boxer who had an excellent won/lost record as an am junior although never won a national title(was picked for C4'S Henry Coopers golden belt!).Think he had 1 am fight for Brendan then went walkabout for a while before turning pro. I sparred quite alot with Clinton up to his winning his 1st title vs Baker(at 10 days notice) and upto that fight he was good tho not great but the confidence that win gave him sent him to another level. A very,very tough man who was schooled well as a child and improved with every fight till his last.

Yes los2, had a spell helping Glyn out then went back to my old amateur club, Parson X abc to coach kids, still there!! And thanks for that Scrap, i weren't a world beater but never stopped believing i could be
