Excellent.

I once met a man in Walkden who told me he had never been further than Bolton, some 3 miles down the road, in his entire life.

When asked why he said "because of the big Tesco's and my bad back"

I nodded in understanding and returned to my seat. "You meet some funny people in pubs at 10:30 on a Tuesday morning"*

Horse, he's ranked 20 at Welterweight and below him are some fighters who have either all ready beaten him, or would be a good fight (e.g Lynes, Vassell, Malignaggi, Clottey etc).

NOPE sorry, you are wrong there.

The public wants to see stars. Stars sell tickets, not fights.

A LOT more people want to see Brook V Hatton than Brook V El Maachi fact! El Maachi hasn't beaten anyone to deserve to be even considered for Brook

Were you the guy who said the day after Ricky Hatton beat Juan Lazcano in front of 44,000 people at COM stadium that "Ricky Hatton is driving people away from boxing"

Anyway, you are the worst poster in the world.

Nobody is taking the 'mickey' ......Just pointing out that Matthew Hatton's statement that he and Kell Brook are the best welterweights in the world is deluded

There you go Horse - no indication of their ranks - but here is 20 fighters who would at least run Matthew very close.

Not in any order.

1) Pacquiao
2) Mayweather
3) Berto
4) Mosley
5) Ortiz
6) Jones
7) Senchenko
8) Bailey
9) Ayadin
10) Dan Ion
11) Bundu
12) Solomon
13) Alfonso Gomez
14) Malingaggi
15) Clottey
16) Julio
17) Porter
18) Julio Diaz
19) Soto Krass.
20) Brook.
21) Vassell
22) Lynes.

Thankyou boxrec's ranking.

I think Malignaggi boxes Matthew's brains off.... too quick handed. Brook would have too much strength and power at Welterweight.... don't think Matthew has the power.

But, you think Hatton might be one of the best 20 fighters in the welterweight division, right?

My point is that I don't really see any reason to jump on Hatton's comment and mock him, when what he said is fairly reasonable.

No - I've just named fighters who I actually think would beat Hatton. Some not forgone conclusions and open to debate.... but I would favour all of those.

There would be possibly another 10-15 guys on top of these 20 (maybe more) who you could debate could beat Hatton, below those you start favouring Matthew heavily.

He's definately wouldn't have thought there are 50 Welterweights who could beat him. But twenty - yes.
