Christ I've not seen such an appetite for shit since the last scat porno I watched - people really just will yam down the utter turd that is Audley's career.

I've no interest in any more chances for redemption for Audley.

It must have been a good financial offer for Harrison to take the fight. Has a figure been released yet?
No, It's confidential information. Don't believe it will be released pal.

At GP we obviously have no TV deal, so as it stands at the minute its a non-televised bill.

You'd be surprised how many people would watch this on BB2 at 9pm - were it put on.

I'd estimate roughly 10x the audience Hatton v Brook will get on Sky Sports 1 and give or take 40x (maybe 80) more than a allegedly audience for Cleverly v Karpency.

If Hatton v Brook got 200k Cleverly v Karpency 20k at best and thats generous. Audley would still get a few million on bbc2!

Exactly.

You put Harrison v Adams on at 9pm on BBC2 on Saturday night. It would get 2million people watching.

The great British public like watching two blokes have a fist fight. They prefer it if they understand the trajectory of the two fighters, their rise and fall etc.

Audley v Ali Adams remains a sellable commodity to a TV network.

7

Hence Audley v Fury would do huge numbers. Having a subscription only boxing channel is never going to get a big audience.

Best striker in the world. Only a matter of time before everyone agrees. Actually, they have more in common than I thought.

He wanted one more chance, looks like he's got it. I'm actually looking forward to the post fight interviews whatever happens.

If Aud wins, "They said Ali was great, so I beat him, I beat the greatest, and you still won't credit me".

If he loses, "Its not over. It's destiny. I'm a young fresh 40 and Ali had his Uncle Fester there to put me off. He was double A-force too, which clearly isn't fair. They don't hand gold medals out yknow."

Hat's off to Mr Goodwin, money where his mouth is and all that. Whether Ali wins or loses, he's been handed a chance he can't have thought was realistic when the idea was first mooted.

Would certainly get an audience, a reasonably sized one. Ask any casual fan (big fight watcher) to name between 5 and 10 British boxers and I'd be shocked Audley wasn't in 90% of the lists. Plus, its his destiny

Interesting to see who picks this up, TV-wise.

allegedly have been hoovering everything up and have certainly put on shows with less appetising headliners than this one. But given Mr Warrens very public and repeated criticisms of the big dancing fool, would this be an hypocrisy too far?

If someone at C5 had any sense, they'd put this on and use it to build a Fury v Audley fight.

Why Ali Adams? why would his promoters sink a load of money into this guy who is going nowhere...seems bizarre.

Why Hennessy, Maloney or Warren haven't given Harrison a call for a fight with one of their Heavies seems strange as one thing Audley is great at is promoting a fight and getting bums on seats both live and on tv.

its beyond me how anyone other than close friends and family continue to support this guy. he was only ever good at parting fools with their money. i recommend that he talks his way into the banking indusrty where he can feel at home with all the other like -minded parasitic dandies.

interesting views on Audley, does still seem to be a name that people want to know about. The national press and Sky Sports running the story shows that.

Yes, probably worth pushing the boat out and getting ringside tickets, its going to be a great "fight" and you don't want to miss any of the action. I'll make do with reruns of Taggart.

Leforge and EarsJohn,

I hope you've both been keeping well.

I felt compelled to make a rare post after looking at this thread, as once again your comments have left me with the feeling that the two of you could take any thread on this forum and spin it into propaganda directed against B O. X. N. A. T. I. O. N.

Seriously, have you nothing better to do?

Do you not think it's time you give BN a fair throw of the dice, as let's be honest, without the channel you would be only really be left with Sky's bumper  line up for 2012....

I leave you with the two schedules of the two respective channels....

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,12947,00.html

http://www.allegedly.tv/boxing-matches/

Come on, its time for the two of you to stop this charade and acknowledge that BN's schedule of live boxing for the first quarter is the strongest currently available on a UK TV platform!

TV will definitely pick this up. Audley is still a name and Adams looks like he should be a good heavyweight with a fairly decentish looking padded record. Channel 5 should try and do the business to hype a late summer fight against Fury
