Chops down Bowe and Lewis, loses to Louis, Dempsey is 50/50.

I reckon Louis stops Frazier in the late rounds, but i also see Frazier flooring Louis early.

Frazier gets stopped early by Dempsey.

Frazier knocks Lewis out.

Bowe vs Frazier to me is a hard one, Frazier via decision. I wouldnt bet on it though.

It may hinge on who wants to pay Futch more to be in his corner --- Frazier, or Bowe :DD

I have very little doubt he loses to Louis and Dempsey both. Only a scarce outside chance for him in those bouts.

Bowe and Lewis, VERY tough to predict. Both matches nearly 50-50.

The only surefire win for Frazier is Dempsey.

I'd pick him over Bowe & Lewis and favor the Brown Bomber over him in close ones.

Bowe and Lewis are tough asks of Frazier, IMO.

Not saying the reverse isnt true, but if hes favourite over those two, its not more than 55-45.

I especially wonder how Lewis would approach Frazier. Would it be the Tua strategy, utilise your huge size advantages and lean on the smaller man, taking few risks, or take the Ruddock angle and try to bomb out a dangerous guy with a balls-out assault (Lewis had a huge overhand right, remember)?

I think Lewis is being underestimated here. Prime for prime, I see him stopping Frazier in the mid to late rounds. He's just too big, and with enough speed that Frazier would struggle to get on the inside. I think Lewis would ware him down with the jab and stop him once he went for broke.

I think he decisions Bowe

I dont think Frazier would have any problem getting inside, whether Lewis uses the "Tua strategy" or not. Tua is no Frazier and Lewis is no Ali.

If Lewis stopped Frazier it sure as hell wouldn't be late. That is the least likely scenario of all.

How can people be so convinced about a hypothetical?

To point out; Lewis is no Buster Mathis or Joe Bugner if you want to bring in comparisons. Frazier struggled against big heavies. I see Frazier being behind and having to thrown caution to the wind.

Loses to Dempsey and Louis unless he stops Louis around the 3rd or 4th.
KO's Lewis in 1. What deflated Tyson almost did in rd 1 against Lewis, Smokin Joe will accomplish.
He wins by UD vs Bowe if he doesn't stop him late. Boy will that flabby gut hurt the morning after.

Good for you, Yance.

Are you going to quote the others in this thread with the same prediction and laugh at them, too? :)

You earned a three-star laugh on the lol scale, Irene.

I don't recall any of the others giving Joe "only a scarce outside chance".

That is what got you a 3 Star laugh. Your "very little doubt" certitude.

We're talking about one of the greatest heavies of all-time here.

We ain't talking Carpentier or Galento.

Mathis and Bugner were faster and threw more punches than Lennox (he also knocked Mathis out and past his best gave Bugner a beating, and could've ended the fight in the 10th if he hadn't shown mercy on Joe after he was out on his feet and before he went to a knee). Lewis's one chance would be to catch Frazier early with some uppercuts, but Lennox would come out cautious was was his nature vs pressure punchers (Tua, even a shot Tyson) and then get worn down by the pressure and activity of Frazier,

At the same time, Lewis is ten times the task Bugner or Mathis were.

Close fight.

Lewis never stopped anyone late of note and Frazier was always coming on strong down the stretch. You're looking for a needle in a haystack saying Lennox breaks down Frazier and stops him late. That is more fantasy than hypothetical.

Comparing Adamek with Dempsey is ridiculous, but comparing Buster Mathis with Lennox Lewis isn't ? Now I've heard everything.
