I'm not going to change my tune now. Fury wins by late stoppage.

Re: Price vs Fury
wow, price shits all over Fury, he has so much better technique, bigger power, faster. If Chisora can have Fury out on his feet Price can knock him out.
What a BOOM would be made when Fury hits the deck!

Re: Price vs Fury
I honestly can't see how anyone is a fan of Fury or actually claims he's anything better than decent. He has one of the worst techniques I have ever seen and if it wasn't for his sheer size I'm pretty sure he'd have got nowhere near the level he has reached.
He's an entertaining guy, but I just find his style horrible to watch. Once he comes up against a decent operator who is his match for size, like David Price, he will be found out, of this I am sure. I'll be the first to hold my hands up if he proves me wrong though. But I can never see me liking his style, unless he ups his technique considerably. He needs a proper trainer IMO.
Price KO, as soon as he lands flush

You don't understand why anyone is a fan of Fury? All sorts of fighters have fans at all levels of the sport, so why wouldn't Fury?youngrell wrote:I honestly can't see how anyone is a fan of Fury or actually claims he's anything better than decent.

Fury will vacate or Hennessy will tell him too instead of facing Price,he his meal ticket with chan5...I hope this fight happens!! i will put every bit of cash&borrow more on a Price inside win.... CHING CHING!!!!
Re: Price vs Fury
Sorry mate, what I meant was I cannot understand how anyone actually likes what he does in the ring. Obviously he'll have fans, like you say, every has with friends and family etc that will support no matter what he does. I just think his style is so awful, I have no idea why anyone who is not connected with him would like it.Horse wrote:You don't understand why anyone is a fan of Fury? Re: Price vs Fury
the problem is not just his fitness, but his technique, which is awful. He is effectively like a very big fairground brawler, he lacks the correct technique to get power into his shots, and is effectively an arm puncher. Also, Fury is rather a strange physical specimen, big broad shoulders and barrell chested, but his legs are like two wet noodles - which means he doesnt have a good platform to deliver his shots.davie wrote:mourneman wrote:A fit and focused Fury wins this, no doubt.
i'd agree that a fit and focussed fury would be an enormous challenge for anyone in the division, and may have enough to beat price
my concern is that we wont always see a fit and focused fury.
he came out of the ring after he was last rocked and was quite confident that there was no problem with walking into the ring at the highest level and taking 2 rounds to get his a**e in gear. his head isn't in the right place IMO and i don't believe that guys at the higher level, guys with the punch power of david price, will be as forgiving as nevin pajkic was in his last outing, if fury walks into the ring in the same shape he did then and takes 2 rounds to get going price will knock him out cold.
He needs to work on doing some kind of weight training to build up those legs a little and crucially as well improve his punching technique rapido - simply will not get away with such a lack of firepower if he moves up another level. Chisora was never even vageuly hurt, despite being gassed and seemingly totally demotivated.
Re: Price vs Fury
Also, I'd like to add that I have nothign against him personally. I actually like his personality, just hate the way he throws punches.

I've been a Fury fan from day one and I love watching him. As far as "What he does in tyhe ring". He wins and that's the only thing that matters in this sport. In the words of my late father, 'You don't get any points for artistic merit'.youngrell wrote:Sorry mate, what I meant was I cannot understand how anyone actually likes what he does in the ring. I think he will lose very soon though unless some drastic changes are made. I also wouldn't be surprised to not see him ever again after he loses for the first time.

Why would he vacate though Tommy? Where does his career go if he does vacate? An undefeated British Heavyweight champ vacating just sounds absurd beyond belief. Why because he is Hennessys one&only Channel 5 meal ticket&if he suffers a bad loss which he will against Price i cant see them being to interested in rebuilding him...I actually dont mind Fury&picked him to beat Chisora on this very forum..But since hes all over the place against decent fighters at best...No way will Hennessy put him near Price&he will vacate, then come out with some bollox like im better than that level, chisora has a title shot so why cant he&FIGHTING Price is a backward step....Blah Blah...ShadrachSimmo wrote:Why would he vacate though Tommy? I dont disagree with you entirely. "Channel 5 meal ticket" you've coined a superb phrase there mate and your right he's Hennessys only big fighter left and on council tv. Do you think he will vacate because of Prices win over McD? This fight makes alot of sense on C5 or Sky.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Why because he is Hennessys one&only Channel 5 meal ticket&if he suffers a bad loss which he will against Price i cant see them being to interested in rebuilding him...I actually dont mind Fury&picked him to beat Chisora on this very forum..But since hes all over the place against decent fighters at best...No way will Hennessy put him near Price&he will vacate, then come out with some bollox like im better than that level, chisora has a title shot so why cant he&FIGHTING Price is a backward step....Blah Blah...ShadrachSimmo wrote:Why would he vacate though Tommy? Is it possible that it might be Maloney and Price who are the ones to sidestep the Fury fight and instead aim straight for world or European titles?
I read on another forum that his opponent might be Siarhei Liakhovich.English champion set for exposure stateside
Frank Maloney is currently in talks with Lou DiBella about arranging for newly-crowned English heavyweight champion David Price to make his American debut on a televised bill in March.
“The Fury fight is unlikely to happen until late April or May, so David will box in March and there is a real possibility that fight will be in America,” Maloney told the tabloid.
“I have spoken to a couple of American promoters, Lou DiBella and Kathy Duva. I am going over to meet them next week to try and finalise something.
“He could fight on Lou’s show at Madison Square Garden or there is another bill in Texas around the same time which would give exposure on American terrestrial television.”

Yes il say he will move on to the euro stage without facing Price..Your right this fight makes sense&id love to see it because we need our top boys to face one an other...will it happen??? No chance Maloney will avoid the British Title, Price wants it to be the first ever heavyweight from Liverpool. The bids for the fight will be out in a couple of weeks.

Re: Price vs Fury
Fury will be fighting for the Euro title next, so he will vacate. Fury has already beaten Chisora, while Price is still fighting McDermott. When Fury vacates the British title, Price may well win it, but Fury has bigger fish to fry and by then Fury will be Euro champion.
Fury is ranked #7 by the WBC, Price doesn't make the top 40.
Fury is ranked #6 by Boxrec, Price is #32.
Price hasn't earned the right to fight Fury yet. Fury is operating well above British title level.

Is your opinion that Fury vacates to avoid Price or that he is well beyond him? Dont be fooled by the rankings. If you win an eliminator you earn the right to fight the champion.keithmoonhangover wrote:Fury will be fighting for the Euro title next, so he will vacate. You do earn the right to be a champion. 100% yes. But Fury has already beat Chisora, so he has earned the right to fight for the euro title or a world tilt.ShadrachSimmo wrote:Is your opinion that Fury vacates to avoid Price or that he is well beyond him? Avoid? Why should Fury take a step back ot fight someone as lowly ranked as Price? Why whould he not fight someone ranked higher.

Avoid is an interesting concept Keith i didny mean it to sound like that. British Heavyweight boxing aint too bad just now. Fighting Price is not a step back. Fcuk aw this ranking pish i doubt he'll go for the Lonsdale belt outright but Fury will want a shot at Price.keithmoonhangover wrote:You do earn the right to be a champion. 100% yes. Can see the point though Price has not been active and as a career Fury has better options on the euro level atm.
