Putting it in perspective he would be crazy to fight a guy ranked in 32nd position despite the british title.
It aint gonna happen
What I should have said is that people should edit their posts, so they don't have 3 or more quotes in them. It makes a mess of the thread and it is difficult to read.keithmoonhangover wrote:Why? lolHorse wrote:Stop quoting each other.
No he said if he wins it he do it March and Hennessy likley to drag it to end of May.stujones wrote:What I thought was most telling about the Maloney interview on Saturday was, unless I completely misheard it, that he almost seemed resigned to losing the purse bids for Fury vs Price.
He stated in one minute - if he won the purse bids the fight will take place in March, then next breath he said the fight isn't likely to happen until May..... so, unless I misheard that, it said alot about the funding Sky is giving its boxing promoters.
"Stop quoting each other" A demand and not a request.Horse wrote:What I should have said is that people should edit their posts, so they don't have 3 or more quotes in them. So?keithmoonhangover wrote:"Stop quoting each other" A demand and not a request.
It is a waste of time for people to have to scroll through a load of pointless quotes, just because others can't be bothered to edit out the rubbish.keithmoonhangover wrote:"Makes a mess." OCD.
I can read it as well, but I would rather not have to work to find the bit I want to read.keithmoonhangover wrote:"Difficult to read" I'm dyslexic and I can read it.
So? So you like to demand things of others. I think you have control issues Horse.Horse wrote:So?keithmoonhangover wrote:"Stop quoting each other" A demand and not a request.

Just how respectfully should I have asked?keithmoonhangover wrote:So? So you like to demand things of others. I think you have control issues Horse.
I've got no issue with being told what to do, but thanks for the thought.Horse wrote:Just how respectfully should I have asked?keithmoonhangover wrote:So? So you like to demand things of others. I think you have control issues Horse.
Maybe you have issues with getting told what to do.
Totally agree. That was my point earlier. It's a competitive division in Britain just now. Get these boys in with each other.youngrell wrote:This is funny. Since when has a British champion been 'too high above' his mandatory challenger? Or his challenger not worthy?
Price won a title eliminator, he deserves a shot at the title. Simple as that really.
keithmoonhangover wrote:Fury will be fighting for the Euro title next, so he will vacate. Fury has already beaten Chisora, while Price is still fighting McDermott. When Fury vacates the British title, Price may well win it, but Fury has bigger fish to fry and by then Fury will be Euro champion.
Fury is ranked #7 by the WBC, Price doesn't make the top 40.
Fury is ranked #6 by Boxrec, Price is #32.
Price hasn't earned the right to fight Fury yet. Fury is operating well above British title level.
Didn't Macklin give up his British title when Barker was his mandatory, so he could fight for the European title?youngrell wrote:This is funny. Since when has a British champion been 'too high above' his mandatory challenger? Or his challenger not worthy?

There are certain instances where this is acceptable and a natural progression when you're done with British title level, but Fury hasn't been offered a Euro shot so what are the grounds? People are saying he will vacate to avoid a match with Price.Horse wrote:Didn't Macklin give up his British title when Barker was his mandatory, so he could fight for the European title?
Fury doesn't have to fight him, but he can't keep the title if he avoids him.youngrell wrote:There are certain instances where this is acceptable and a natural progression when you're done with British title level, but Fury hasn't been offered a Euro shot so what are the grounds? And my point was more to do with people saying Price didn't deserve a shot, or Fury shouldn't have to fight him. He's the mandatory!
Yes, but in the first bit he states that Price vs Fury isn't going to happen untill May, so Price is likely to have a bout in the interim.... then he said (almost as an after thought) if we win the purse bid it will be in March... and then re-iterated he doesn't it will be in May.leforge wrote:No he said if he wins it he do it March and Hennessy likley to drag it to end of May.stujones wrote:What I thought was most telling about the Maloney interview on Saturday was, unless I completely misheard it, that he almost seemed resigned to losing the purse bids for Fury vs Price.

Sky would love that fight on their channel. I been told Eubank Jnr fighting in February so its like Fury is as Hennessy only headliner thats why May is more relaistic for this fight also give it time to sell.stujones wrote:Yes, but in the first bit he states that Price vs Fury isn't going to happen untill May, so Price is likely to have a bout in the interim.... then he said (almost as an after thought) if we win the purse bid it will be in March... and then re-iterated he doesn't it will be in May.leforge wrote:No he said if he wins it he do it March and Hennessy likley to drag it to end of May.stujones wrote:What I thought was most telling about the Maloney interview on Saturday was, unless I completely misheard it, that he almost seemed resigned to losing the purse bids for Fury vs Price.

For straight win????carlbcfc wrote:PRICE is 4/6 !!!!
If this happens this year id lump on price inside the distancecarlbcfc wrote:Yes, for straight win. Fight must take place in 2012 though. Not looking good is the bookies are offering those odds.
Never said he will be fighting for World titles this year, but he will beat Fury with easeloaded_gloves wrote:Having finally found this on YouTube I have to admit I'm surprised by the excitement over his performance. McDonut was fatter than ever and any good heavy would have KOd that version of him. As far as power Price hardly looks the reincarnation of Lyle or Shavers.
He looks a solid enough prospect, did the job any good heavyweight should do on a 20 stone whale, now let's see how he does vs a live body.
Talking about being champ in 2 years is ludicrous. Does anyone seriously doubt Chris Arreola or Helenius could comatize McDermott in 1 rd? And they're not going to be champion anytime soon.
