It looks like it is at the moment as they have not shown anything apart from Pac-Marquez 3 and all they seem to show is a 3 hour preview of some description from 7pm-10pm every night.

It depends how much they have to pay in ongoing costs, I suppose. Maybe it's less than people think.

If they did a couple of PPV a year even, perhaps that would be enough to keep them ticking over.

Totally agree - depends on their overheads. It could be they only have a couple of full time staff as i'm sure they'll use freelance technical and production staff on a show-by-show basis.

As Ian says, a few decent shows plus advertising revenues could equal a turnover big enough to keep their heads above water.

I hope so, anyway - can't understand why anyone would want a boxing-friendly channel to go under.

They're shit. They didn't take payment from my account for Khan-McCloskey and blocked me when I tried to order Mayweather's last fight. Then the guy on the phone asked me to pay for Khan there and then, fair enough but he took the May fight payment without asking as well and I couldn't use my Sky+ to record it. I complained as you are supposed to give verbal warning before taking another payment on the same card after doing the first transation and a line manager phoned me back and said it shouldn't have happened but it was my fault anyway.

Then they sold my details to dodgy credit control company despite my having paid for my PPVs. The company were very aggressive, Primetime denied that I had paid them when it was queried and I'm still waiting to hear back after being red lettered and threatened over £14.95 that I have paid. The Scottish guy I spoke to last went mad as a load of people have had their details sold on by Primetime even though there isn't a debt to be met. It means the credit company don't get paid so guess who they get gnarly with? You. Or me, depending on how you're seeing this.

I sent Primetime emails. They no longer reply. I have bank statements showing that I paid both amounts. But do I really want to post my statements to some dodgy office in Glasgow?

Sounds like you've had a raw deal though Terry. I really cannot complain about primetime from my experiences.... other than the general complaints about paying for boxing!

there like a bad smell ,and dont put anything back into boxing . Its not harsh its the truth. They treat there customers like pish and offer a substandard product,

I'm not sure what you mean about 'putting back' into boxing? All they were ever set up for, AFAIK, was to show PPV matches and for a little while they specialised in picking up stuff that was going to fall through the cracks.

i know man ,but least when sky and even allegedly (in due course) sign contracts you know you will see fighters develop over time ,you wont get that with SLimetime . i know most ppl dont agree with me on this but that is how i feel!

Tell them you are a journalist and you are currently looking to print a story on the matter. Companies tend to back down quickly then.
