The whole thing is awful. Really is. Not the place for profound career choice statements either way I feel. I just hope his kids grow up smashing and are well looked after.

Why even chat about someone who was murdered regardless of why or how. He isnt here to defend himself. He had 3 young boys who have been left without a dad. Have some respect.
Care to enlighten us then?....

I like how every single thread on boxrec that has more than 25 replies has to include a reference to either George Michael or Michael Barrymore.
There are some sick minds at work on here.
Re: Brett Flournoy murder trial
Doesn't matter why or what he should have done, it really has NOTHIN to do with you so keep your opinions to yourself because you don't know the truth or what kind of man Brett was. He is not here to explain what happened or what situation he was in. You are just assuming what was going on and assuming what type of man Brett was. I don't care to enlighten anyone cos it's none of your business. Don't disrespect a man, son, father, husband, brother who is no longer here to defend himself. Thought this was a boxing forum? Not a place to disrespect people who are no longer with us. If it was the drug dealer up the road, the scumbag I hated then I wouldn't be posting about him full stop because any death is a tragedy to the persons family and no one else has a right to slag someone off they clearly didn't know so go and find someone else to chat about.
Just because Brett was a talented boxer gives u no right to talk about his death on a boxing forum.

Re: Brett Flournoy murder trial
I don't think it's two-faced. People don't give a fvck about people they don't know because from their perception, it's just someone who got involved with drugs and nothing more. On the other hand, a person who knows someone is going to have different feelings, aren't they?kells wrote:shouldnt brett of thought of his children and not got involved with this?? he had a chance to have a boxing career, he wasnt a bum who had no options. drugs have fucked my family and caused my auntys so much heart ache!! we are a massive two faced race,if it was sum guy up ur street u didnt like u wouldnt giv a eff and wud be saying u get involved in drugs and its ur own fault but because u know him or who he his you try make up excuses . like george michael,if it was sum1 else wanking in toliets hed be a dirty pervy bastard who ud all keep clear of but people still buy his records and have him on chat shows etc coz its him, they turn a blind eye!! only people i feel for are his family and kids pitty he didnt think of them!!!
I don't know Brett personally, but I've known a few people who have got into the same sort of stuff. It's a shame they've gone down that route, but I still have plenty of time for them.
RIP Brett. Thoughts are with your family.

Re: Brett Flournoy murder trial
and for the record brett might of been the nicest guy, helped old ladys across the street gave to charity, been funny and charming.the point people on here are making are he was a grown man who made his own choices and the one he made to get involved in this lifestyle is,off the majority of people not guna get sympathy or people thinkin poor brett. im sure he wasnt a stuped man and knew the risks drugs wud bring and thats what should of stopped him doing it, even if just for the sake of his children and love ones!
Re: Brett Flournoy murder trial
SOMETIMES PEOPLE MAKE BAD CHOICES IN LIFE.
doesnt make them satan .
ever thought of this if the legalsied it all taxed it then perhaps these murders wouldnt of happened.
bit like the pope not condoning the use of condoms that kills millions of catholics in developing countries year through aids and he is supposed to be next to god..
bit off topic there point is, im sure brett was an alright bloke and just made some poor choices to come on here and say he deserved it is a bit strong imo.

Maybe he went down to meet those guys to have a nice discussion about the merits of paying off ones debts.
Re: Brett Flournoy murder trial
I still don't get what you mean by two faced? You're now saying that I wouldn't care about the death of a drug-dealer if he was giving my family shit. Well, that's a given isn't it?kells wrote:it is two faced, if was a drug dealer causing u or ur family shit ud hav know time for them and thats fact!! i hav time for my cousins but ther into drugs and iv no symapathy for them or people who choose that life and what happens from it, sorry but tough!! id feel for ther family not a bit for them!
It's a shame because he went down that route when he had a promising boxing career.kells wrote:and why is it a shame?? did someone put a gun to ther head and say your going down that road or did they hav free will like the rest of us to make what ever choices they wanted?? i dont care if i know someone or not i know what i think is rite or wrong in life, no matter who does it,it doesnt change my believes.u choose to be a gangster then u live by that code.
Also, some people grow up around this shit. They have minimal chances to break out of the lifestyle they were brought into. I'm not going to immediately condemn these people as bad eggs because they deal drugs (smack aside). It takes a strong, strong character to make of success of life when from the estates.
Lastly, I don't think many people are offering sympathy to Brett, nor demanding it. They're saying it's a shame with how his life transpired. Plus, some people know him and they're reactions are understandable.
Let's leave this as this thread is going off on one.
RIP.

S'true. I may start adding "George Michael/Michael Barrymore" to polls as an option in lieu of Richard "The Secret" Williams.

its two faced as you cant have a problem with someone and the things they do in ther life because you dont know them but then change your views if its someone you know or like living that life!!

i have kids and id giv a big fornicate!! i work hard in a gud job not to hav wer i live filled wiv dealers and druggys. and if his customers wer causing u shit ud giv a fornicate
Re: Brett Flournoy murder trial
It's made the news and it is regarding a former professional boxer, of course this is a place to discuss it.KJ83 wrote:Doesn't matter why or what he should have done, it really has NOTHIN to do with you so keep your opinions to yourself because you don't know the truth or what kind of man Brett was. Now you're assuming all dealers are out to cause you grief.kells wrote:i have kids and id giv a big eff!! i work hard in a gud job not to hav wer i live filled wiv dealers and druggys. and if his customers wer causing u shit ud giv a eff
IF they were causing me shit then of course I'd have a problem with them and at the same time wouldn't be arsed if something happened to them. There's nothing two-faced about feeling the opposite if it happened to someone you knew and liked. There are lots of different types of people who share this same 'occupation'. Can you grasp this?
This is getting daft. I'm out.

And can u grasp friend or foe if they choose a lifestyle that I'm against then they wud b get the same reaction of me to anything bad happening to them from it!! As I said I hav family who hav choose this path and of course if anything happened I'd b hartbroken for my family and sad they choose that life but trust me they will not get an ounce of sympathy from me. They could of picked any path but as men choose drugs so what ever cums with that life is on them!!

Just think, 10 years ago George Michael was a macho ladies man, Michael Barrymore was a family entertainer and nobody gave a toss about Richard "The Secret" Williams.
Times change eh,
George Michael is famous for flashing his cock at a policeman in a public convenience, Barrymore bummed a bloke to death and nobody gave a toss about Richard "The Secret" Williams.
Well, some things change.
