Great decision by Quigley's corner! About time we see this after so many brave corners allowing their guys to go out and be punished. I feel the corner saw Nicky's legs drag after the first exchanges in the 9th round and so only one conclusion. Credit to them and to both fighters.

Think dad spotted his legs had gone completely, as he walked back to the corner after the stoppage he was very stiffed legged. It was the right decision for me and a brave but correct call. Well done to both men what a great fight.

Im agreeing it was right decision but doing it when they did seemed strange after 10seconds and that.

Quigley just didn't use his height and reach. Odd choice

Quigley has a weird looping Groves-esque jab which looked quality in prizefighter. Was complete opposite of what I expected. Thought Quigley would try and keep it long with Ochieng trying to get in close.

I think Frampton will probably get the stoppage, but have had a few quid on him on points at 4/1 as Hughes hasn't been stopped yet and is more decent than some give him credit for, possibly will have the skills to keep out of trouble but not be in the fight.

Beautiful stoppage in Round 7 from Frampton. Fantastic right hand to finish Hughes.

Ah well I got a bit of mileage and interest out of my bet, but the inevitable KO happened. Frampton looks very decent indeed, he has the ring intelligence and that bit of power needed to move up a level or two. I can see Frampton going up to Euro level. Him and Quigg though, if they get that on that will be a great 'trade fight' as they say.

Who do you think wins out of Quigg and Frampton? - If they ever get it on.

Ha ha...I thought that too!

Strange stoppage in the Quigley/Ochieng fight but he didn't seem too upset with it in the interview and accepted that he was struggling a bit.

Frampton looked OK. He got some rounds in and was rarely troubled. Hughes was durable but never threatened anything and the best he could have hoped for was to take it the distance...he was never going to win this one. I still think Quigg is the more impressive of the two though but appreciate that Frampton is still a bit behind him in his career.

Agree...Frampton won every round prior to the stoppage...Hughes wasn't even close to winning a round.

Quigg vs Frampton would be a pick'em fight really, but Quigg has looked the more impressive definitely so he'd have to be slight fave at the mo. I haven't seen anything amazing yet from Frampton but as a work in progress he is decent and he levelled Hughes with that punch, showing he has some power at least at British level.

Frampton, I believe he will perform even better when they meet and get quigg out of there by the 9th round.
