Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
Great fight guys, you earn every penny. Great work rate from Quigley but excellent skills from Ochieng. Ochieng very smart boxer and seems like a nice guy.
Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
That was a great fight! I really enjoyed watching; Ochieng was very slick and hit very hard on the counter. Quigley tried his heart out and must have trained like a maniac. I've seen men box for high level titles for lots of money not show the same level of effort and determination.
Both men seemed very level headed and decent i the interviews afterward. A good showcase of the sport. Hope both can go further.

Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
These are exactly the fights that need to be made, two evenly matched guys who will give it all in the ring! Respect to both. I think Ochieng would stand a decent chance against Rose if they fight after Maxwell
Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
Both ochieng and Quigley still young so there is a lot more to come from them. Ochieng might have to fight jamie ball next if he wins his next fight but I think he should go for Brian Rose if Max Maxwell fight falls through. It was a great entertaining fight its a shame it was only for a English title. Erick is a really good guy as well he went up to Quigley's family and had a nice word with them after the fight and prayed that they had a safe journey home to Liverpool. Good man

Ochieng is very good inside, but so is Al Harbi, for me Al Harbi would win it on the outside. Ochieng and Quigley both put up a great fight, but for me Quigley fought the wrong fight, then he had nothing left to change it. I can see why he tried to put Ochieng under Pressure and force him back, because thats how Ochieng lost to Luke Robinson, but Robinson was a lot stronger and hit a lot harder then Quigley, plus Robinson took the centre of the ring and forced him back on the backfoot and stilll kept distance, controlling him off the Jab and backhand, Quigley fighting in too close gave the advantage to Ochieng.
Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
Eric seemed very comfortable against the ropes and really knew what he was doing. That was the best I've seen someone box under intense and constant pressure for a while.

Rhodes is above British level. Think Rose is beatable we shall see. Selkirk v Cox I reckon we be made.diggler wrote:leforge wrote:It was great fight. Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
i agree rose can be beat but not by the eagle dont think he has the skills to outbox him or the power to trouble rose, light middle is a tough division to be in domesticly, wouldnt surprise me if rhodes beats rabchencho(SP) he defends against domestic fights before getting another world title shot
Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
First Ochieng has to fight the winner of the eliminator between Nasser Al Harbi and Jamie Ball according to the BBB of C, then we will know whats next, Maxwell is fighting Rose next and by no means a formality, working on the last fight they had, the winner of that fight would have to fight the winner of the final eliminator between Matthew Hall and Sam Webb. So I would have thought a British title shot just yet is off the mark.leforge wrote:Rhodes is above British level. Think Rose is beatable we shall see. Re: Ochieng vs Quigley...These are the Fights we want to see
Thomas Costello can't keep waiting for his Promoter to put him on his shows needs to stay busy and get back on track, maybe another promoter, Al Harbi had to move after not getting fights, now he is fighting in an eliminator and nominated by the WBC to fight for the WBC World Youth Title and the Asia world boxing council title against Thai Pathongpathong ranked 30th in the WBC world rankings. Thomas is very good fighter with good power and also a ticket seller so I am sure he will get the breaks, but being busy is more important then what promoter you are with.whiteboy wrote:why hasn't he boxed for ages?Talkischeap wrote:Thomas Costello will have his say this year and will begin to stand out maturing nicely.safeerah wrote:
