well louis fought a peak walcott who was very similar to johnson, and louis was past his prime and still knocked out walcott.

After winning a controversial decision the first time around. Walcott and Johnson are similar, and Walcott is a great fighter, but Johnson was remotely more skilled and overall better and stronger than Walcott.

I don't feel Louis stops Johnson but think he wins a clear decision. No need for a rematch.

I would say that Joe Louis would win with a late KO

An interesting way of looking at it. And I tend to agree with you... Johnson is like an improved version of Walcott.

Still think that Joe Louis has too much for him.

Walcott dealt with legitimate combination punchers --- Johnson never dreamed of a guy who could put punches together like Louis --- thats why this is a Louis knockout :TU:

Worth noting, too, that Louis didnt face Walcott until he was well past-it, and Walcott was at his peak.
