I am surprised that it is only over 8x3s rather than 10x3s in all honesty. But it is a good cross road fight as you have got Matt Skelton looking to show that he is still a relevant name on the domestic scene with Tom Dallas looking to rebuild after being steamrollered by stablemate David Price. While Skelton has the experience in the domestic and European scene he has been out the ring for nearly 15 months which includes time in the nick for Perjury could count against him. So I reckon Dallas could beat him.

Good comeback fight. Matt is well past his best but even so getting in with Skelton after a defeat shows a set of the old minerales as they say in Spain.

So you think Dallas might take on a tights points win then Larry or a late stoppage? Also have you heard anything about a potential rematch with Sam Sexton then as you were not happy about the points verdict going against you as Sexton got cut on a accidential headclash.

I agree but I am intrgued in whether or not Larry thinks Dallas got enough to stop Skelton. What do you think?

I can as well. I think Dallas who wants to send out a message that he is still a relevant force on the domestic scene would see a stoppage of Skelton a former British and European Champion looking to get back onto the scene as well would show that the two round steamrollering he recieved at the hands of Maloney stablemate David Price was just a set back in my eyes.

well i dont really class the first fight as a loss mate, your improvements where there for everyone to see, and the fight as very close at time of stoppage, so what if he got the w, its not like your trying to protect some umblemished record it means nothing at this stage. just think it would be better for you to fight winner of dallas/skelton for some sort of title or elimanator rather than fighting sexton in a 8 rounder and going back the way.

While it was close and the improvements were clear to see, I think it's still fairly clear that Sam would win a return, whereas I think you'd have a good chance of beating Skelton or Dallas - that would put you in the frame for bigger fights and would give you more time to improve along the way.

Tom struggles with movement. Skelton doesn't have any other than forward. Hence Tom has been adding size and strength we read. The real key is his jab. If he gets that busy he can beat Matt -who must be knocking 50 by now.

I like Tom, no world-beater and would lose to Sexton but he's a very genuine type and is flawed in a kind of endearing way. He's the lug you just want to hug.

Where's the evidence to suggest he would 'decimate' Sexton??

Granted he's tall, decnet jab and decent power but dont write Sexton off.

He has 2 wins over Rogan, gave Chisora a good fight and is by no means finished.

You forget Skelton's twinkle-toed performance in his final fight (IIRC) against Danny.

I like this as a crossroads fight. Dallas has the size, youth & power but is just not a natural boxer and Skelton is fighter through and through but is getting a bit decrepit.

A bit decrepit? As in Mrs Haversham decrepit you mean. The man is knocking 50.
