Fair play to you. It's clear that you want it and surely they can't ignore your offer.
I wish you luck in getting your shot...even though you did play for Hull City :shame:

You sre showing how much a shot means to you but it could set a bad precedent for other boxers; perhaps with less of a cash cushion to fall back on. IMO it wouldn't be a bad match up but both of you are profesional and licensed boxers, you ought both be paid. (I think in the 'old days' a tough challenger was required to sign away a proportion of their future earnings to the champ in case they won the title; that sort of thing ought to be kept in the past; not helped into the present).

as i said in an earlier post, i've offered to 'look after' the money...... :o :TU:

I do see what you mean in all seriousness, but i genuinely believe its because he wants the fight so badly, not because he maybe has money already

I can imagine that Curtis is chomping at the bit. He's had some good results and up against some good men. He's done loads better already than most thought he would and is a proper boxer; not a novelty or ex footballer messing about. I hope he gets a shot, and I hope he gets paid the going rate for it.

Fair play to you Curtis, hope it comes off. If the board doe force a payment (min wage) you could always tell them to make a charitable donation and they can write the tax off

It is a ballsy decision from Curtis Woodhouse to call out the Champion Ashley Theophane and to fight for free I will give him that. But I just feel that Theophane has too much for him in terms of experience and class at a superior level in my opinion in my eyes, but I wish Curtis all the best though.

I think mighty respect is deserved for Curtis. As boxing ex-sportsmen go he is the anti-Mark Gastineau.

I must be right, it rhymed.

If Curtis was to keep constant pressure on Ashley, in the manner Ben Murphy did, I think he'd win. Johnny Eames had the right tactics, just the wrong fighter at the wrong weight.

Curtis - fair play for showing such a good attitude but surely your management team (who are there to look after your best interests) wont let you step into the ring without some form of payment being guaranteed mate?

Good luck with it anyway and i should think that sooner or later you will get the chance to fight for that belt. Put it this way, you are probably nearer to a shot than Frankie Gavin is and who would have possibly thought that even six months ago?

(weren't you still playing football when he turned pro??)
