selkirk is by far a better fighter than price ever was. i know he has been a little rusty recently, but thats down to a lack of action. selkirk is one of our hottest prospects, and when these 2 fight you will see the gulf in class.

good fight for fight fans price is no mug but he is in way over his head :bag:
I know he is well thought of in Liverpool, but he just does enough for me, does not set the world on fire, who has he fought ? the best one is Steve O'meara, who I think deserved a draw, next Ryan toms stopped on a cut, he was ko'd in 1 round by O'Meara and drew in his next fight, the rest have had negative records, journeymen ect, on the other hand Pryce has beat wait for it,,, Ted Bami (ex Euro champ) 26-6, Neil Sinclair ( Brit Champ)33-7, Anthony Small ex Brit champ23-2, Andrew Facey ( English champ, also beat Macklin ) Ossiie Duran 20-4, Ivan Kirpa 18-0, Sergey Stepkin 15-0, Gavin Down 22-1 ect.. You can't compare the records, plus Selkirk has been inactive, just one fight last year against a journeyman. Selkirk is big for the weight, hits hard, but is only 8-0 with no real experience in the pros, Pryce has loads of experience, can bang and has great stamina. If Pryce has something left he should win mate.
Read a few of Righthooks posts - He only follows fighters from Liverpool. He previously mentioned betting on Selkirk stopping Pryce but i'm surprised he has any money left after backing the last Scouser who failed against a Welshman. :TU:
your right mate i do post allot about liverpool fighters coz i like to talk about what i know. :TU:

i have been wrong in fights before and il deffo be wrong again in the future, but i know the inns and outs of liverpool boxing and i know that selkirk is a class amateur and i know what he is capable of, altho he hasnt fought too many top names as a pro he has spared with top lads and he looks a million dollars against them.

lets see after this fight how joe looks, like iv said price is a good solid pro who has much more experience than joe, so he should have no problems dealing with him, but imo joe will k.o him and look great in the process :bag:

Don't want to p@ss Pryce off given that he's on this forum, but I can see Selkirk getting to at least European title level, then after that, who knows ? Selkirk's a class act. He hits very clean and correct, generating natural power without having to load up on his shots. He's also got nice boxing skills and can work well behind the jab. Pryce has been unfortunate at times, as I think his talent could have taken him even further, but I just think that Selkirk's on an upwards curve and will come out on top.

Think Selkirk could stop him early here, Pryce isn't what he used to be and I really rate Selkirk highly

Pryce is a class boxer always has been but Selkirk is so smooth and relaxed a world class talent, if he can settle down at olivers and let Oliver bring the best out in him im sure he will look a class act i remember him in the A.B.A.s looking world class he has natural talent!! :box:

I agree with that statement mate but I think Selkirk will get the k.o in the first 3-4 rounds just my opinion like, but il certainly have a bet on it :TU:
Il lump on the Selkirk inside the distance :bag:
I think you guys are forgetting who they have fought, what level they have fought at. Selkirk is overrated, just seems to plod along at one pace, if Bradley price has got anything left he will beat Selkirk.
Based on this thread, definitely.

Totally agree mate, these scousers think Selkirk is the second coming (sure they used to say that about Smith etc).

I'm not saying Selkirk isn't a talent and wont go onto be a very good fighter, but like you say who name wise has he had a really convincing win over yet?

Some of these scousers put too much on what they see in the gym.

Interesting fight might be. Selkirk not impressed me vs Toms. Pryce can surprise him - why not.

He even said on twitter after the weigh-in that he was 'Going to San Carlo to put a good stone on!'

The fact that he fought a few weeks ago doesn't stop him from putting a lot of weight on. He also only fought once last year, is there more to that than meets the eye??

World Class ? Come on !
Having seen him many times as an amateur defeat commonwealth, british, etc champions quite easily yes, he has the tools to be, world class not yet but potential yes. He obviously didnt shine vs Ryan Toms but had took fight short notice, does Manchester United play great everytime?? Yes fighters have ordinary days too. I used to say Martin Murray was world class a few years ago and got same response look at him now???
