Is Jason Ball adiquate for Eubank Jr

Post by Mimmy »

Just looked at Ball's record, not thrilling really. and does not appear to have a punch. Also he's a light middleweight and Eubank seems to be a good strong middleweight.

I'm thinking this is going to be a 1 rounder. He was tko-ed by Liam Cameron who again does not seem to posess punch power so there is going to be no power at Eubanks chin. Its good to see Eubank giving a British fighter some work as I hate all foreign fighters are given a wage when there are plenty of lads in this country.

Anyway, I doubt Eubank will learn anythnig from this fight, but its only his secong outing so can't put too much in front of him.

Eubank Jnr is not in there to lose and will have the advantages but Ball is turning into a decent boxer. Records don't show the full story and Ball can stand his ground some. Jason may prove a point in a decent bout. (Eubank Jnr has some shoes to fill).

Not a terrible match IMO. Ball is basic but strong, very much a former kickboxer type with his chin in the air. He's on a little win streak and won a Masters title on away turf last time out. He'll come to fight, as they say. No threat to someone as technically sharp as Eubank appears to be, but they could have found far worse for a prospect's second fight.

I think it's a decent step up for only his 2nd fight and is a good sign that that there not gonna feed him journeymen.

Surely he should be facing Sergio Martinez in his second bout?!

In Balls defence he has only actually fought 1 fighter with a losing record, yes he is inexperienced and most of his opponents were relatively inexperienced but its a fairly decent piece of matchmaking. yes he got stopped by Liam C but liam C is amturing into a decent domestic prospect, its only Eubanks second outing.

personally.......i expect Eubank to carry ball for a couple of rounds and stop him in the 3rd or 4th.

Does not appear to have a punch? out of his 5 wins 4 by stoppage he might not be the most technical but i think that shows he can defo whack?

He might be to dangerous for Eubank after just 1 fight.

My first thought was that this is actually a decent, competitive match-up. Especially considering that Eubank's amateur career was not extensive and Ball appears to be improving as a professional, and has just won an area title in a rival's hometown.

Nah, Martinez is too busy swerving Simon Henry.

Love how ball just gets his head together straight after he's stopped no moaning or complaining- every credit good attitude. I rate him too he looks a right handful
